Kendall Marshall - Waiver claim?

Post#1 » by k-lynch201 » Fri Jul 18, 2014 8:04 pm

Adrian Wojnarowski ‏@WojYahooNBA 2h

Lakers waiving guard Kendall Marshall, but have interest in bringing him back on a new deal if he clears waivers, league sources tell Yahoo.

Should we place a bid? Hes not a shooter or scorer but he can dish the rock.

Ideally not worth our 2.7mil cap exception, but surely worth a minimum deal.

Any interest in Marshall, folks???

Yes, but don't see a spot for him on this team.

I think we are the wrong situation for him, and Dallas passes.

No, he can't play defense. I actually trust Felton more.

I am not interested in a point guard that shoots less than 60% from the charity stripe.

By the way, the Mavs is going after Ray Allen right now. They don't seem to have fixed target but they want the best talents out there. We're deep enough to give Dirk and Tyson some rest. This is the spot we can use some rookies or young vet. I am all for Ray Allen as a starting SG with Monta being PG for first couple of minutes.

C- Tyson Chandler / Brandan Wright / Player X
PF - Dirk Nowitzki / Rashard Lewis
SF - Chandler Parsons / Richard Jefferson
SG - Ray Allen / Monta Ellis / Jae Crowder
PG - Monta Ellis / Devin Harris / Raymond Felton

C is the spot worries me the most. Both Chandler and Wright can be injury prone.

I thought I read a report where Ray Ray said he will either play for the Cavs or retire... Can't find the link though

I believe so. We're not supposed to be title contender to Ray Allen.

Yeah lets put a bid on him for sure. He is a player I would love to see in a Mavs uniform. If he can come off the bench and give us 8 and 9 assists a game. He would be the second best pick up this offseason behind Parsons. Lets get him for 2.7.

Marshall won't last some team will claim him but he would be good even w/ the rmle and hes avg 8+ assists and is a better floor general than we have now.

Believe it or not, Ricky Ledo's best described as a point forward. Like Marshall, Ledo's defense is far from good. He can get 9 assists (like Tonight's game against Pheonix). He's streaky as a shooter.
