Emir Preldzic

Post#1 » by danielspetznaz » Sat Aug 2, 2014 4:49 pm

Hi guys!

I think any of you has commented about this Player. I haven't watched him last season but I remember he was a good Athletic and defensive Player. But I would like to get further information about him.
I think he can be a really good Player if he adapts to NBA Basketball

6'9" so not really someone that would fit here since we are loaded in that area.

Preldzic is actually Point Forward :D
He is rather unusual player for European standards and quite interesting to watch.

Pros:

Nice handles,
creative passer,
aggresive and willing defender
good rebounder
high BBIQ

Cons:

streaky shooter,
average lateral quickness,
need to get stronger for NBA
contract issues

Very difficult shot, props to him. I am surprised that they didn't run a play and just gave him the ball though

Yea, It's strange, but I think they just gave him the ball because he have "clutch gene". Just watch it.

I know that he made a lot of big shots in his career. Am European and I watched him in a lot of games but I am still surprised they just gave him the ball and let him go one v one and not run a play for him, not even a single screen.

Preldzic is pretty darn good. He ended up averaging 12ppg & 5rpg in 31mpg for the tournament.

Another guy that Mavs have the rights to (I think?) is Renaldas Seibutis, he averaged 10ppg, 3apg, 2rpg in 29mpg in the tournament. Here's him going up against Preldzic & Turkey where he ended up with 19pts (3/3 3P) & 3 assists:

Guy is pretty clutch too:

Yeah I remember Seibutis. He played really well during his Summer League debut and by "really well" I don't mean stats-wise. He defended; leaked out and made himself open for many outlet passes; distributed the ball; took (and knocked down) shots within the flow of the offense both inside and out. In fact, the only "negative" is that he had a habit of not standing during the national anthem but that's reaching.
