And his lack of shooting makes scoring harder on Ellis parsons and dirk because there aren't any driving lanes.

There you have it. And since he won't drive to the rim in fear of being fouled, PNR became non existent.

You do realize that that's how he scored most of his points tonight? I loved it when he attacked the basket it opened up a lot of plays for other players too. We need him to go to the basket, hit the lanes and his shooting will eventually improve.

He doesn't do this normally though. 1 out of 5 games maybe.

You're right, he doesn't. We're merely pointing out that in the last game - he did. And that's what he should do moving forward (and work with the shooting coach) to fix the small drop off in the offense we're giving up for his defense.

I really don't understand why he doesn't all the time anyway. Some points he becomes completely passive like he is taking plays off.

Clearly shows that he still needs time to adapt to the players around him. But there's a damn fine blueprint for the future so I'm not worried at all. We'll be just fine.

I know everyone wants the ball in Monte's hands but he's been turning the ball over at an alarming rate. Just like when Kidd was here a PG of Rondo's caliber should be handling the ball more. They have to get these turnovers under control if they want to go deep in the playoffs.

Well pretty much forget what I said about Rondo. Apparently he and Carlisle got into a heated exchange during the game tonight. That's twice Rondo has had heated words during a game since being with the Mavs. First with Dirk and now with Carlisle. Hopefully the Mavs can work out a sign and trade in the off season. The Mavs can offer the most money for more years so if Rondo wants all the money he can get it would be in his best interest to do so.

You don't cut a player if that caliber. Regardless of the way he's acted he's still a very good player. Ultimately I think the Mavs hope he'll turn it around. Ultimately I hope they can get some value for him in a sign and trade in the off season. That way the trade doesn't seem as bad.
