probably 6 or 7 games we "should" win. If we get to 8-10 we should be pretty happy.

A ton of games in a short amount of time is going to be tough depending on older/injured players. That 6 games in 9 days is going to be rough with 4 of them road games and 1 of the home games being the 2nd night of a b2b vs the Clippers.

6 - 12

I think the first month is going to be pretty rough. Even with Wes playing tonight I expect him to need at the very least a few weeks to get going. Same for Parsons once he comes back.

11-7 to 8-10. Really feel like they got screwed a bit with the scheduling, but they should come out of it relatively OK.

It depends on how much we want to win. Some of our guys are not motivated in the preseason games. They are at sem-sleepwalking mode. I think the unity within the locker room will dictate the outcomes. Obviously, some guys are not on the same page yet. They have yet to figure out whether they want to compete or tank.

Given the play of Deron and Wes I am thinking 12 and 6 is possible

Given that our two best players, Wes and Pars, are coming back after big injuries, I think we'll go 8-10. There are several easy games + I think we might surprise 1-2 times.

My fear is 5-13. My expectation is 7-11/8-10. I would breathe a sigh of relief with 9-9 and anything beyond that would be gravy.

I'm tempering my expectations for the first month because of our injury/chemistry issues and the difficulty of our early season schedule.

If we can be close to or better than .500 by the end of December, then hopefully our increasing health and chemistry will allow us to make a push for the PO's in the easier second half of the schedule.

I think 8-10 or 9-9 is doable.

News on Chandler Parsons injury from Saturday:

Chandler Parsons (knee) made it through practice on Saturday, but isn't expected to play in the opener. He is trying to be patient and almost all signs have pointed to him missing more than the opener. Parsons says he's physically stronger now from his knee surgery, as well. The Mavs are going to manage his minutes upon his return, so he's not a strong fantasy target in the middle rounds unless he slides. The Mavs have also leaned more on two-PG lineups with Raymond Felton and J.J. Barea while John Jenkins is playing well, so rookie Justin Anderson isn't as appealing after a terrific Summer League.

If Parsons can get to 100% quickly I see 11-7. If not, I see 7-11.

Parsons is very important to the team however I don't see a huge drop off in production with starting Matthews at SF with Williams at PG and choice of Felton, Jenkins or Barea at SG. This team has so much flexibility with most players having the ability to play multiple positions. I truly believe in this team as long as they have good chemistry together. Of course on the other hand, a Rondo or Odom situation could derail the team. Dallas doesn't need to be jacking around at the trade deadline if the team has good chemistry.

We'll probably be looking at something around 9-9 if we're lucky
