The Bucks, who are apparently open to dealing Charlie Villanueva, Bobby Simmons, Charlie Bell or Dan Gadzuric, will have a plethora of options besides Pietrus. That

Yeah, um...only Charlie V is better than Pietrus out of that group. Charlie Bell will always be a role player and Bobby Simmons has a history of injury. They may be able to get Randolph, Hughes or even Ben Wallace with that group.

Yes, for us Charlie V would be the only one worth mentioning. While I like Charlie Bell, we need to stay away from adding the smaller guards, but Charlie can be moved down the line.

I highly doubt Dallas makes a trade now that we are playing so well, even though I would lke to see them go after a player like Villenueva or Simmons (if we traded KVH back to them)

I read the blurb in hoopshype this morning, and thought the same thing that the rest of you are thinking. Charlie V might look pretty good in a Mavs uniform. Don't think he's ever going to be an all-star, but he's a decent young big man. Could play center if we go small, can play power forward behind Dirk. Depending on what we had to give up for him, he would be a nice addition to our c/pf rotation (Damp, Diop, Dirk, Bass, Charlie). That would be a pretty versatile group. It might create a minutes crunch, but that's not the worst problem in the world to have.
Wonder what it might take to get him?

He is paid $2,715,000, which is within our $2.64 mil + 100K trade exception and since Bass can be traded using the min player exception, a trade of Charlie V for Bass + TE works salary wise and position wise, but how much of an improvement is that? And would either team bite?
I like Charlie's size, but it is meh to me.

No thanks. CV is widely reputed to be extremely lazy, apathetic on defense, and undisciplined. That makes him hard to play with and explains why Toronto would trade a young big like him, and then Milwaukee the same. I'd rather have a hard worker like Bass who is just as talented, and they already know his role here.

I like Dan Gadzuric but how is his contract?

We do not need CV and we do not need Gadzuric.

Pretty bad considering how injury prone he is. It would be a long term investment of around 7 million per year.

Only reason I asked is because if Diop or Dampier gets hurt, we'd be in trouble (ala, last year). But I didn't know he had such a hefty contract.
