I'd sure rather have Everett than Isturis. If you are going to have a shortstop who is a terrible hitter, might as well have the one who is the major league's best fielder.

If the Cardinals can get him for a small enough contract, I hope they sign him up. Let him and Cesar battle it out for the starting spot in Spring Training. The team could eat Cesar's contract without too much indigestion after Everett wins the competition.

Would love to have the best fielding SS in the game, but I just don't see it happening. Another reason to hate the Cesar signing though.

Looks like the Twins moved fast and got him already. I'm going to pissed if they got him for less than 3M.

Well that kinda sucks, because Everett is better than Izturis and signed for the same money.

But, no biggie. Everett or Izturis, either way the Cardinals were just looking for a one-year stop-gap until they can find a shortstop who is actually good.
