Nice job, but I am kind of surprised Moore would do this......risk vs reward

Well you never know he could get injured, like what happened to Brett Anderson this year. So that might have popped up in his mind.

This is the only way that rays can compete long term against the big money spenders. Great signing by the rays.

I like the move by the Rays.......I am just surprised that Moore would do this

$13 million total? Wow. Yeah really surprising. Prior to the extension what was the earliest he'd be able to hit free agency?

Arbitration eligible in 3, which is why the Rays choose to do it this way.i

If I'm not mistaken, there's a few more optional years at the end of the contract that are pretty fat. IIRC, the total contract was around $45m when the extra years are factored in. Not sure if its player or team option or what though..
