I love how Evan is speaking up about this. I also love how the Rays are doing what they're doing without cheating (as far as we know).

Michael Wiener, the MLBPA Executive Director, is an idiot.

He says that the commissioner has acted inappropriately.

They should just stop blindly helping players. I know that they're supposed to help the players, but come on! Alex took steroids! He cheated! No just once but for a long time according to the MLB. They should be helping the MLB and supporting their clean players. They shouldn't stand for cheaters either.

The Mlbpa has too much power.

However, their posturing was to be expected or A-Roid could sue them too.

I did expect it. However, I didn't expect him to throw the comissioner under the bus and to say he's doing the wrong the thing and the wrong way.

Is it true it's possible A-Rod might be able to finish the season? Seems kinda weird to me. Not sure if it's gonna happen though.

What I heard is that his appeal was unlikely to be heard until November/December.

Ridiculous.

I just hope he plays poorly. The bright side is that the yanks are forced to pay him now.

So he might be able to finish the season. :/ Thats not good. I don't think the Yankees can make the playoffs with the Rays, O's and Red Sox so far ahead of them and so much better than them anyway.

It would've been nice for them to just get it over with though.

It's going to be a huge distraction for the Yankees.

A-Roid is going to be vilified everywhere he plays, and if he doesn't play well at home, even the mixed fan base will turn on him.

They aren't much of a threat, but I have to give hem credit for hanging in there with all of the injuries.

Evan Longoria keeps on talking about the A-Rod appeal.

Hopefully he has never done steroids himself, because then the fans would never live it down.
