Rays off to a good start as DeJesus knocks in both runs in a 2-1 win in the first game of a doubleheader.

Archer on the mound for the second game.

April is over.....

JO looked really good for three innings today, but the wheels fell off in the 4th as the Rays lost 9-3.

last night was fun to watch. Bedard pitched really well for the 2nd or 3rd time in a row now. The offense clicked finally. Hopefully the wins start piling up, because we are sitting at the bottom of the division right now and have the 4th worst record in MLB.

It really is time to turn things around.

Last night the defense made four errors and the Rays lost 12-5.

Ugh

It's unfortunate, but it looks like 3 injuries to our starting rotation knocked us down from a WS contender to a sub .500 ball club. It will be interesting to see if they decide to try for a wildcard push, or throw in the towel and tank for a high draft pick. Personally, I want to see us win alotta games when Cobb and Helly come back.

Price goes nine in a 2-1 win with 12ks.

Odorrizzi goes six shutout innings giving up just one hit. Rays win 2-0.

Maybe things are going to get better.

Amazingly, the rays are just 3.5 back.

Baseball is about optimism.......

Balfour blows another one.

The guy does not have the velocity he used to, and now he can't locate pitches.

He needs to turn it around.

Rays win 3-0, Archer the win and Balfour the save.

Escobar gets three hits including a dinger, but made his seventh error at ss this year.

Rays lose 6-0 last night.

Only positive was the great catch by Guyer.

Ramos had a bad start.

Price goes today.

Cobb returns and was outstanding

Archer was really solid last night (11k's), and the bullpen was strong too.

Balfour remains terrible (last time I looked 17 IP, 16 H, 16 BB, 14 k)

I am hoping it is just mechanics, but at this point Balfour is making Rodney of last year look like Mariano Rivera.

Needs to get better very soon.

Rays, after having zero walk off wins, get their third straight.

Down 5-0 in the first, Price shuts down the sox the rest of the way and win in 14 innings.

Maybe things are changing.

Bullpen was great yesterday.

Ray's sweep boston.

Benches cleared in the 7th after Escobar took third with a 8-3 lead. Ross, from the boston dugout had some words with Escobar, and of course Escobar spew some back. Benches cleared and of course, Gomes comes in from LF to cause a near ruckus.

Hopefully only Gomes gets some time off. It will be interesting this weekend in Boston.

Boston has lost 10 straight. Their local radio stations are nearly ready to throw in the towel for this season.

Rays begin series with first place Toronto.

Jays have played very well of late, have a ton of offense at times, and had many injuries the past couple of years.

Should be interesting.

The offensive meltdown along with the bullpens consistent failure have put the Rays halfway into a deep hole.

Yeah, the bullpen has been a major thorn in the foot this year.

After losing three starters for an extended period, the rotation's struggles should not have been a shock.

What is bothersome is how the bullpen continues to not shut teams down (Balfour, Peralta, Lueke) among the biggest irritants.

McGee has been by far the best and most consistent all year. He should be the closer......

Escobar strains a quad, Myers suffers a wrist injury on the collision with Jennings and is now on the DL joining Hannigan.

This team is beat up and short on depth.

The season is far from over, but the hole the Rays have stepped in is getting deeper by the day.

The Rays have the worst record in the AL. This is close to being over in my opinion. Will be time call the white flag soon. Too many injuries and poor performances along with no upgrade in offense. The Rays have been really lucky the last 5 years with being healthy and getting max production out of the team with such a poor offense. But the damm has too many holes and the lack of spending on offense and bullpen has caught up to them. Its about to burst.
