Schneider has the bottom 3rd of the lineup locked down nice, and tight.Doesn,t seem to matter who he has down there or what order they bat in.Jansen/Tapia/Merrifield looks good to go in whatever order going forward.

Ya they have proven to be starting in the post season. Biggio got better since schnieder took over but merryfield should be playing over him. Tapia is hot again hopefully he can maintain. Jansen has been solid.

They have a run differential of -67 against the Jays.

They would have a winning record if they never played the Jays.

Rays lose again and it's looking very likely that Jays/Mariners is going to be the WC series at this point. Going to just be a question of who is at home for it.

I hope they make no changes this offseason.

2 for the Rays (which should be easy to do with their schedule), 4 for the Mariners (which will be more difficult to do with their schedule).

what a flex to shotgun beers live on TV and then come out and throttle the red sox the next afternoon. the most memorable season series against boston in franchise history.

Mariners suck. We can beat them in their stadium too. But obviously home field is still possible.

2nd only to that one time in a July when we swept them, dashed their post-season-hopes, and made a bunch of scoring records including the most runs ever allowed at Fenway.

(Junior Felix also had a great series once upon a time, as I recall..)

:P

i actually meant the season series in totality. the 14-3 or whatever it is we've gone against them.

I'm not sure why, but Manoah holding the bananaphone during Strip's interview there was just the funniest thing I've seen all day.

It's not great. Hopefully they can move him down to the third game of the WC, which gives him a week to heal (and possibly more if we don't need game 3)

My understanding with Gausman is that he's constantly dealing with blister issues. It's a by-product of throwing his splitter and it's why he doesn't warm up before games throwing it. They likely just don't want it to get any worse in a meaningless game here when he's going to need to throw it a ton next Sunday possibly.

Hopefully, they’re being extra cautious. I think it would certainly make sense to do so.
