Rosenthal: Jays, Mets trade may be expanding beyond Dickey

Hopefully this expands into a 3 team deal with Seattle, where we get Felix aswell.

Doesn't matter if we gut the farm, AA and the scouting staff will replenish it in no time.

I don't know about this.. When AA was being interviewed during the winter meetings, he expressed anger in fake rumors that point to the Jays, which indirectly drives up the value of potential trade candidates. I wonder if the Mets threw out this leak just to get other teams to pony up on their offers.

There's no way it can't be part of something bigger if D'Arnaud's in play. Ike/Dickey for D'Arnaud/Lind/other ?

I was thinking that earlier, but during the course of the day two teams dropped out. It seems the Jays are in the driver's seat, until such time that there is a deal or the effort is aborted.

If the Jays are giving up Gose and TDA, they better get Dickey and Harvey back.

this deal is so garbage, maybe if dickey extends, but if were trading d'arnaud for 1 year of dickey thats horrible.

People on twitter are saying Jon Heyman of WFAN said he thinks it will be TDA + Gose for Dickey + pieces.

Davis would be a considerable upgrade over anything else we have for DH. He has tons of power, takes walks, and he's got 4 years of control left. I doubt the Mets want to trade him, anyway.

that would be interesting. if Mets take on most of Santana's salary and trade RA Dickey, in exchange for Gose and TDA, the jays get a solid rotation with Romero being bumped all the way to the 6th starter/long relieve guy/injury insurance from being an ace last year

I'm saying it's Dickey, Davis, and Daniel Murphy (2B) coming our way for D'arnaud, Gose, and Lind.

This fills our need at two positions at 1b and 2b, much more sense for us considering who we're giving up.

Even if he does extend beyond next year, you'll only be getting one or two productive years out of him. The man is 38.

Perhaps add a few pieces around? (lower-end prospect + Lind from the Jays and some add-ons from the Mets)

Maybe it's too good a deal for the Jays... Probably would have to involve the Mets being really high on Gose for it to happen.
