Hopefully this trade works out. I'd prefer to improve the team another way. Could I request all the stat gurus here to project his stats in the AL? All of your WAR basis is from NL lineups without a DH. No? thats what I thought.

Ideally, yes. Unfotunately, they can't really get anybody like Berkman or Thome as long as Lind is still here. Could bring someone in like Carlos Lee or Delmon Young to platoon with him, although I'm not sure how worth it that would be.

Not sure that Lee is even better hitter than Rajai Davis right now. And Davis pinch run and play the OF as well as platoon with Lind.

Nurse is below average at best.
Masai is overrated.
I dont get how so many people believe in the raptors, they have zero to chance to win it all.

Yeah, Davis actually has a 784 ops against lefties for the past 3 years. That might work.

I wouldn't be completely surprised if that's the plan right now. Go with Lind/Davis and if it doesn't work out, look for a replacement during the season. DH is the easiest position to fill and I could see Rogers ok'ing adding more salary during the season if things are going well.

Ideally, you'd want better than what Rajai Davis could give you. Delmon Young could do better, but it might not be worth it to bring him in considering what he'll cost (and obviously, the character questions).

Moises Sierra might be a good option against LHP too in-house.

Delmon Young is terrible. Davis is a better option.

Trade for Jesus Guzman. Kills LHP even in Petco and can play multiple positions.

D’Arnaud has suffered a number of injuries — he had back trouble in 2010, suffered two concussions in ’11, tore a knee ligament last season.

I didn't realize that the list was that long.

No, he isn't. Delmon Young has a career .307/.341/.483 line against LHP. Rajai Davis has a career .290/.349/.417 line against LHP. It's not a small difference if we're talking about a platoon DH here.
