Speaking of HangTime, he hasn't been around since this ST was started. Did someone prematurely sacrifice him or banish him?

9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.

You can review foul tips too? Does that mean you can review check swings?

Edit - ok it's a review for HBP.

Did he not go around anyway? Even if there wasn't a foultip.

StroShow was at 37 pitches. That's a lot for one inning. Whenever a guy throws that many a manager is likely to take him out. It's too bad it happened in the first... though the way he was throwing tonight, maybe it was a good thing.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

The right move made. No complaints. This team could not have afforded to go down any further. Damn- it is 5-4 Now!

You could argue the other way it was still early and Stroman could have settled down. Just hope Jenkins has something in the tank or we're using our two long men tonight.

True point. However, Stroman "could have" gone out back in the Second Inning and struggled again. It was a "damn if you do, or damn if you do not" type move. I think it was the right decision to remove Stroman. Very disappointing performance by him. Thankfully it is only 6-4.

The ship is sinking. Gibbons would appreciate that statement

Anyone ever notice how negative the Jays game threads are? At least twice as bad as the Raps one.

Beeston and Steinbrenner were very close when the latter was alive. Buck accidentally makes public the ugly schism that has opened up between them now that George is dead.

Being one of the worst teams in MLB in the Month of August (3-9 Record) so far, unfortunately does that. Being swept in embarrassing fashion in Seattle does that. I guess you can always read the tweets of Mike WIlner if you want only positive vibes.

Valencia has an OPS under .500 vs RHP.

I've been a heavy contributor to both forums at different points in time. The Raps forum is way more bipolar. Too many highs and too many lows. I find things much more even keeled here even in the good times (mainly because we can't trust that they're ever for real).

Chicago is the city of champions now? Maybe 20 years ago. Hawks bringing the city back some respectability. Bears have been irrelevant since the 80s with one Superbowl appearance in about 30 years.

Double post but I'll add that the Bears have only one post merger title.

The difference is that the Raptors board is often negative even when the team is playing well. Posters panic when a player makes a bad play or the team goes down ten in the first quarter. It happens all the time.

Jenkins reminds me a bit of Buerhle... only from the right side with a few more mph to work with.

I think the average age has to be way younger too. I'm guessing it's probably around 20 where here I'd guess it's closer to 25.
