We have to operate in this universe though. Rogers isn't giving AA any money to even improve the bullpen and hasn't given him a cent in nearly two years so I'm not sure what makes you believe we'll suddenly take on the Votto contract.

This isn't fantasy baseball, people.

K-Rod makes some sense. 2m dollar buyout for 2017, perhaps Milwaukee will eat some of his salary too.
