If Pompey plays well, I think they can flip Revere for better assets later.

Tirado was #9 on our prospect list, comes off the Dunedin roster while Cordero was unranked, recently promoted to NH and projected as as pure reliever. Throws hard - clocked at 100 mpg - last week.

And he was #16 a week ago probably....At this point the value is in trading the guys who are now one of our "top ten" prospects...

I don't know about better but we might recover some value in that scenario.

Indeed, and the unrated players who were traded even today might end up on some prospect lists. Callis said Brentz - unrated even today in our system - was going on Seattle's top 30.

Still, trading 11 minor league pitchers in one week is rather breath-taking

Revere will look even better in this lineup. He's the guy teams will attack.

Revere gets on base enough, means more fastballs for Donaldson otherwise Revere steals second easily. The stretch run should be fun to watch.

Solid trade. Upgrades left field for the rest of the season, and gives the team some options for 2016 depending on health and need.

If AA was going to throw a middle finger up at the future and play for 2015, then he did about as well as anyone could have hoped. He filled practically every hole on the roster. Too bad the Jays couldn't start the season with this roster. Anything can happen in two months, both good and bad.

Revere's left handed bat in the lineup is going to freak out the opposition.

I'm with Stoeten on this, Revere should not be batting leadoff for this team. When Travis returns, Revere should be glued to the 9-hole.

And yeah, solid deal. Phew on no Pompey and Alford.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

What's his dWAR?

He's below-average in center. Decent enough in left.

Gave up quality but no complaints from me! Revere would be a great lead off guy. but i cant imagine not having our 3 best bats bat in the top 3. This is a freaking video game quality line up xD
Tulo
Donaldson
bautista
revere
edwin
martin
smoak
pillar
travis

Move Travis up in the order and bat Revere 9th would be my suggestion.

Tulo-Donaldson-Bautista-Encarnacion-Smoak-Martin-Travis-Pillar-Revere.

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
