He's literally only made one significant mistake as GM (trading Syndergaard for DIckey). This was the only move that a large portion of the fan base (including myself) decried at the time it happened. You don't fire an otherwise fantastic GM over one mistake though. He's been one of the best drafters and traders in the entire league over the past 5 years.

We got one of the best players in baseball for Hoffman (and unlike Dickey, he isn't coming off a fluky season and about to turn 40). That's hardly a reason to panic if he does pan out.
