I think that's overkill, especially for a 5 game series. If Tulo gets hurt you ride it out with Pennington. The 8th pitcher is more valuable.

Right. But if Tulo gets hurt you're down too 2 MI's and you won't be able to pinch hit for either.

If you know Tulo is done for the playoffs, you can make a switch within the same series due to injury. You just wouldn't be able to bring Tulo back for rest of the postseason

No he would miss the rest of the series and the next, not the rest of the postseason.

Carrera over Kawasaki is puzzling. If Tulo gets a little banged up we'll have seven guys who have played the OF this year and only two that can play MI. No room for error, no room for pinch hitters. Although I suppose if anything happens to Tulo that isn't enough to take him off the roster, Carrera might come down with a mystery ailment and get replaced by Kawasaki.

That lineup is just pure savage!!

1-9 can hurt you and they all play great defense.

I hope they get the pitch counts up really early.

Only weakness is the young guns in the bullpen.

I only feel confident with The Hawk and Cecil

Don't see the need for the extra infielder. Goins is the only guy you might pinch hit for. In an absolute worst case scenario you can bring Bautista to 3rd and put Donaldson at SS.

No Kawasaki... Beauty. No need for a mascot in the playoffs!

Kawasaki has been better in 2015 than Pennington, although for some reason I don't see anybody calling Pennington a "mascot." I wonder why.

Any chance that guys like Buehrle, Kawasaki, and Travis can be with the team, in the dugout, during the series?

I forget if teams are allowed to do this.

I wonder that too, I would hope they would be allowed to be in the dugout, I don't see why they wouldn't.
