I'm not opposed to homerism at all, as long As it isn't obnoxious, and I don't find Devlin to be over the top. As far as NBA broadcasters go there are far far worse Homers. Devlin does a good job. He's a little corny with the raps but I think that's what makes him entertaining.
I guess everyone is different, i find his homerism to be very cheesy and unoriginal.
Some of it he kinda got from Chuck like when the player makes the 3 pointer and he calls out a city.
I actually like when he calls out city names, regardless of whether he copied Chuck or not. Shows that he cares enough about his job and Canada to do a little research into the various cities/towns here.
Apparently during the playoffs, he called out Pond Inlet in Nunavut and the people there went nuts over it
