If we lose today, we'd have to play exactly .600 ball just to reach 90 wins.

Hate to say it, but with a 2-10 record and two starters on the DL (and no starting depth), this season is probably over. Even if the offense was performing to expectations, and obviously it's nowhere close.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I'm not one to say "blow it up," but...blow it up. This team doesn't look anything like the Jays of 2015/2016 that got off to a slow start then turned it around in June. This looks like a 60-win team, and now they're likely without JD, Sanchez AND Happ for a few weeks or more.

Actually, if you have no hope, better a 60-win season than a .500 season. You can be gifted with a couple of really good prospects in trades, we have two first rounders in June, and a 60-win season (well, realistically you usually manage a bit more even if you suck) should get you a top 5 draft pick in 2018 and puts you high up in the second round, too. There are some positive rumblings about another great South American prospect secretly committed to the Jays, too. We'll see more on that as July 2 approaches. Also, in trades, if you to give Cherrington even more in the draft, there might be a competitive balance pick that could be thrown into a trade.

A 60-win season is panic - or chaos - but you know what Lord Baelish says: "Chaos isn't a pit, Chaos is a ladder"

Who are we playing next? Oh, it's Boston? We're screwed.

Then a West Coast road trip, followed by St. Louis.

4 games against the Angels in LA where we always struggle, then St. Louis, then the Rays again

Couldn't be scripted any better. We might not hit double digit in wins until mid-may.

You are being too kind. I say the Jays will hit 10 wins in June and not May.

Happ has left elbow soreness, so almost certainly a DL stint.

Man, I really hope it's not TJ. Happ was our biggest trade chip since he was signed for one more year (which likely gets wasted if he goes under the knife).

The warning signs were there last year with this team, but management were left in an awkward position. How do you blow up a team that just made it to the conference finals?

Kevin Pillar now leads the team in hitting, with his .267 avg.

I think it's time to start thinking about draft picks. I nominate Matt Dermody to join the starting rotation.

There's no need to joke about the hitters. They are already built to lead a tank squad.

Who has value on this team? Happ and Estrada. That's about it aside from the younger pitchers.

Dermody is not a major league pitcher.

I would think Morales and Steve Pearce, as they're on cheap contracts. Liriano, maybe? Pillar. Some of the relievers. Obviously, Donaldson. I'm sure a team would like Bautista to help with a playoff run.
