Thankfully we didn't have to wait 15 to lose this one.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

If Miami wins, we'll move into sole possession of 7th in the tank race, and potentially put some distance between ourselves and the chase pack.
Been a long time since we've selected in the top 5...long enough that our last such selection had a fifteen-season major league career and retired four years ago. We can do it!

I've come to the realization that for us to get better we have to let go of some of our good players. if we plan a full blown rebuild might as well entertain offers for Stroman, Donaldson and Osuna. Stack yourself with high quality prospects. Select a top 5 prospect from the draft like Scad noted, and go from there. If evertyhing falls into place we can be competitive in 2 to 3 years from now, and for many more years thereafter. I'm down with that.
Now time for me to hit the gym and eat healthy, so i'm still around when that happens.

Geez Shapiro, trade our few remaining tradable assets before they lose their value, too.

No idea why Gibby keeps throwing Bautista out there to leadoff. He's been struggling to say the least.. 1 hit in his last 18 ABs. It's like he's given up. Nice to know your making $18 million and playing like horse **** out there.
Bench him, trade him, or move him down in the lineup. FFS!

Stick a fork in this team... it's done.

This is a nightmare season. Never been so disappointed with a Blue Jays team.
Other than Smoak, Osuna and Stroman everyone else is underachieving.

Someone help me because I'm perplexed.
How can you go from being in the playoffs just over a year ago, to being one of the worst teams in MLB this season?
I just don't understand.

Help me pick another team to cheer on this year fellas. Cubs? Houston?
I can't watch this garbage of a team anymore.

Old team on the cusp of age decline. Fortunate starter health last year.

McBroom is a name that, while irrelevant, never got to the majors in order to be a hilarious baseball name. He will be missed.

Age regression, injuries - some of which relate to age. Also, a couple of guys just aren't performing even close to last year. Some injuries like those of Travis are unpredictable (although maybe they shouldn't be in his case). But when a Tulo comes up with a strain from swinging the bat, you have to think that's an injury that doesn't stop a much younger player. Hamstring pulls and other injuries from exertion are typical and nagging in order players.
Also, last season's starters were, as a group, remarkably healthy and available. Above the major league average.

Ah, but Refsnyder gives us a legit celebrity wife/wedding guy to compete with the Raptors' Bobby Webster.
