Are you optimistic about anything, Randle?

Not the 2023 Blue Jays certainly.

Get in the playoffs, and anything is possible. Yes, even with this undeserving lineup of hitters.

How are they getting in the playoffs? Don't you have to score runs and win games to do that?

They really need to play Vlad at DH in these games. Just such a horrific fielder.

"Anything is Possible" would carry more weight, if the 2023 Blue Jays did not make scrub 5 and 6 ERA pitchers look like Greg Maddux all year. Luke Weaver had an ERA of 6.47 coming into the game, and has been atrocious all year. He has been DFA twice the past couple of months. Yet the Jays managed just two runs off that scrub. Not sure what this lineup can accomplish in the post-season, when you will be facing very good pitchers from the opposing teams. You still have to generate runs and not choke with RISP, to have any hope in the post-season.

Playoffs?

Yes, Playoffs.

Belt and KK have been massive signings for us this year. They have both been about as good as they have ever been in their careers.

Take Bassitt out. Let's not risk an injury.

The Jays winning the WS after this season would be one of the funniest WS teams of all time.

Orioles win the AL East, meaning Tampa will pretty much rest its key starters in Toronto for the final 3 games. Jays will clinch post-season berth.

Can't ask for much more from Bassitt was the perfect Stripling replacement and then some. That start against the Braves looks absolutely insane in hindsight considering what they've gone on to do.

Don't like pulling Bassitt mid-inning when he's absolutely dominating and we need to win at least today and tomorrow to make the playoffs. Let him get the last out and save the bullpen.
