I really hope Chacin finds his form this year and stays off the DL. He's proven that he can be an effective at times and I hope this will be his real breakout season.

Beautiful GT, well done.
I hope our offense picks up where they left off! 2-1 against the AL Champs would be nice.

Chacin is the biggest wild card in our rotation in my opinion. We really need him to at least show he is a top end #4 pitcher to low end #3 tomorrow, and not a fringe 4/5.

Thanks all,

WTB?, I think Chacin could be a top #3 in the AL if not all of baseball if he continues to work hard and lays off the booze.

He's got some great stuff, sure he doesn't throw that hard 87-90mph fastball, but his breaking balls(slurve and slider) and his change are above average when he's hitting his release point.

We all have to remember that last year was only his second year in the league(not counting the 2 games in 2004) so I think If he stays healthy he's primed for a break-out year.

I think the problem is his success was overrated because his first season batters were tricked by his delivery. Now they figured him out so he needs to do a better job of locating his pitches.

I completely agree, but his location problems last year might have stemmed from his elbow injury possibly. We'll get a better idea after he's had a few starts though.

I do think he might struggle tomorrow with the cold, being mainly a breaking ball guy he might have a hard time turning his pitches over.

HUge outing for chacin - how does he come out after a shaky spring and the dui incident.

Hopefully our offense comes out to play again
thought last year our offnse tended to be better when the pitchers didnt do so well...would be nice to get the offense and pitching to click at the same time

Rare, only if the Jays don't go on a crazy streak due to my slick game thread :P

I'm predicting a win tomorrow and a sweep in Tampa!!!

Toronto's game Thursday against the Tigers at Comerica Park been postponed due to inclement weather. The game is now scheduled to be played on Monday, Sept. 10, at 7:05 p.m. ET. Lefty Gustavo Chacin was scheduled to make the start.

You might want to add that date to your sched.

Thanks Ozz

OUCH, now the Jays play straight from Sept 6th to Sept 19th or something crazy like that.
