Nats (24-17) at Phils (21-21)

Post#1 » by Jollay » Tue May 22, 2012 12:16 pm

Gio was iffy one inning, but dominant the rest, as the Nats beat the Phils 2-1 in Game 1.

Looks like Rodriguez is out as closer; Davey warmed up Burnett after Rodriguez's first two pitches yesterday.

Gets harder tonight with Halladay I believe going for the Phils.

Jordan is finally getting some run support but man, this guy could pitch deeper into games if he doesn't get into so much trouble early on. 110+ pitches plus in 6 innings.

Harper's got his average up over to .270 as of this writing, and Desmond looks like a legit 20/20 threat.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Wow, put a hurting on Halladay and the Nats take Game 2...

The Phillies are such whiny bitches when they lose. First Hamels throws at Harper for no reason in DC, then Carlos Ruiz has a hissy fit and gets ejected behind home plate after the Nats unload on Halladay.

I'm going to enjoy seeing them age and start losing.

jackson versus said Hamels in the finale.

And a good game for Bryce. I grew up in Ohio worshipping Johnny Bench. I wish I could have a beer with Bryce and talk sports with him, he seems like a fun guy to hang out with.

Hamels again stops the Nats from a sweep.

Some bad decisions last night if anyone watched. Bo Porter sends Espinosa with one out against the Phillies best arm (Pence) down 2-0 and with Zimmerman coming up.

Phillies up like 3-0 and Henry Rodriguez in walking people, and the Phillies decide to send their runner on first. Smart managing. He's gunned out and the Nats avoid a big inning.
