i turned the game off when they were up 5-2 in the top of the 9th and Robertson had a runner on 1st.

i said to myself, "Jeter's overrated as hell but he's also the luckiest man on the planet. I'm not watching this BS to see him turn a double play in his last game at Yankee stadium and have everybody cream over it."

who knew my own hate would be 1 upped by the sports gods.

cannot wait til his circus is over.

just for clarification.

I remember the last series Chipper played in Los Angeles. He doubled off the wall in the 3rd game of the series to help Atlanta take it 2-1.

I don't remember him getting gifts from our franchise. Maybe I just don't remember that year that well. He got THIS kind of treatment?

p.s. Jet doesnt make the offs and can go out on his last home game in a walk off. Chipper gets the Infield-fly-rule Gate. More proof Jeter is the luckiest man on the planet.

A co-worker of mine is convinced the Jeter moment was staged. Obviously nonsense. But another co-worker thinks Buck would have normally walked Jeter in that situation. I'm not buying that either.

Chipper's retirement was a big deal everywhere he went, but he obviously wasn't a Yankee with the New York media covering his every move. Not quite the same. And Chipper was as much as reason for the Braves losing the WC game as the outfield/infield fly garbage.

EArl isn't a baseball fan let alone a Dodger fan. Good time to hop on the bandwagon though.

I mean, the pitcher did lob a ball right down the middle.

I think Chipper got gifts. I know he got standing O's every where he went though.

Yeah true, Giants have the NL record for most sellouts in a row, good reminder of what good fans do
