Nice...contention.

Ask Bill Belichek what he thinks, even he will tell you that doesn't mean crap. But ok. It will be goin on 11 years.

In all fairness, the point being made, was that they never made the Monetary adjustments to pay for the best players. Welker for example, was already a Patriot player. But their cheap ways have decimated their depth in one way or another. Thus ive been sayin for years, they are done. Finished. They wont win the title again with the way they operate.

That's a 10 year string of bad luck? Or an unwillingness to recognize?

And all the Patriot fans know, this would not be the first year ive sang this tune. This would be goin on several years. The Patriots are finished. Done. But oh well, they will still need an 11th year to try to convince them.

Word. Only ONE team out of THIRTY TWO walks away with the Vince Lombardi Trophy each year. Add to that that the NFL is an extremely parity-driven league, lower picks for the better teams, a hard CAP that makes it difficult to retain a winning combination of players, a harder schedule for the better teams the year before, the fact that the NFL has a one-and-done playoff system, that it's a brutal sport and injuries can play such a significant role in a team's fortunes each season, etc... It's a wonder any team ever walks away as champion other than the fact that some team has to.

The best a team/franchise can do in today's NFL is to somehow beat the parity system by somewhat consistently being just good enough to contend and make the playoffs and thus give your team a chance to win it all many more years than not over a given period of time. The Pats have done this better than any other franchise in the NFL over the last 10-15 years.

Your post doesn't seem to take into account the reality of today's NFL, and pretty much diminishes the accomplishments of the Pats organization in this way.

Todays NFL? Just today your coach Bellichek said one of his EX-players took out his best defensive back. In Todays NFL, that means, with just a few bucks more, they would've had Wes Welker, quite possibly in the superbowl, and Aqib Talib in their defensive backfield. In Todays NFL, Wes Welker changed the course of that game....when all along, if the Patriots would've upped the cash to him, things would be very different. Especially with the injury.

Is that "Today" enough for you in Todays NFL?

sherman really needs to grow up

what goes around comes around, he should just enjoy the success of the team instead of bashing others

things in the nfl can change quickly (injury, concussion, etc)

Sure, it might have been better to have retained Welker. No franchise is going to make the right personnel move every time.

But today's NFL is more like this in the case of the Pats. Their passing offense was most decimated by the loss of their two tight ends this season, one to a murder charge, and the other to injury.

Actually, it was a season ending move. Welker was there this past off season, and they didn't retain him. And I had told many a Patriot fan, that this move was going to haunt them. A gigantic mistake. He was a Patriot record holder for a receiver. And he literally had a hand in killing the Patriots yesterday, in taking out their DB. They've been without gronk and hernandez for a while. But a record leading receiver cannot be replaced. Especially one who effectively ended the game yesterday with his 1st half hit. This should register with belichek that the Patriots are done.

Good grief. Could you make "bandwagon" more obvious?

Aw how cute, I remember hearing banwagon jokes like that a few years ago "when it was actually original"...*Yawns* but I feel your pain man. There hasn't been too much Magic going around in Orlando ever since Dwight left. So yea, that automatically gives the right to come on here with stereotypical comments as you've provided in your post. If you could actually bring some facts to your logic about how i'm a bandwagon fan and give me an actual "original" response other than the typical "Your'e a fan of two teams winning, hey your'e a bandwagoner" nonsense then i'll take you serious...You & that ATL fan comments makes it so easy for me to make y'all look dumb but i'm not going to hand out real life stories on a forum

Few years ago? You've been on these forums for 3 months. :-?

And please enlighten us. How did you become a 49er/Heat fan? Why arent you a 49er/Warriors or Heat/Fins fan? You can't be older than 17. Most kids just jump on the most popular teams. Which would all make sense.

But please. Do tell. Can't wait to hear your elaborate story. Could use a good laugh....

I'm sorry, but what the hell does "finished" even mean anymore? Not winning the super bowl? 31/32 teams are finished?

You don't offer a "handshake" when there's still 18 seconds left in the game and you just ended the other teams season. Give me a break. It was a scumbag thing to do by a scumbag player. But he won, so whatever. Enjoy it.

Dude literally hasn't brought up any logic in this debate. I was waiting for him to say something that made sense. First of all you don't slap another player on the butt of an opposing team regardless and then he follows it up with a fake congratulations like how he did Jim in Week 2. Dude is a true jackass I swear. His face was just so punch-able in that interview

lol u guys still wrong.

he didn't taunt when he went up to crabtree

offered a handshake

everything you guys think he's doing is 100% speculative, and he was mic'd up and on video camera with proof of everything

and you still insist he was being unsportsmanlike? rofl. get out of here.

 ^^^^ FOH. This dude said he didn't walk up to Tom Brady and said "U mad bro" but he posted this pic on Twitter after the Seahawks beat the Pats a few years ago in the regular season and ranted to be on NFL network just so he could clown Tom Brady

Image

And so since your'e so sure Richard was trying to say "Good Game" to Crabs wholeheartedly then please, do me the favor of posting the video of him Mic'd up...Oh wait, you can't because it doesn't exist

Richard is a douche bag and almost every player in the NFL (Outside of Seattle) knows this by now. He's a great player and is hands down the Best CB in the game IMO but his trash talk is pointless. From his little Top 5 smartest QB's list (which didn't feature Tom Brady) to him getting owned by Trent Williams last year

Brady came out yesterday and said how he wins with "Graciousness" which to be honest, every other Seahawk besides Sherman did that Sunday. But since of the belief that Sherman is such a "great guy", explain this since Richard shows such ''Great Sportsmanship" to you

There's little doubt that Sherman is an over-the-top trash talker. He's half court jester and half vindictive assassin with a huge chip on his shoulder. But definitely entertaining and good copy in a provocative sort of way.

Bottom line is that he's super smart and talented on the field, and there are 31 other teams that would love to have him on their roster, personality and all.

You're completely naïve. Sherman's an antagonist, he's good at it, and it's probably gonna get him hurt someday.

Sherman is a dime a dozen. The NFLs history is deep with guys who talk trash. Deion not only talked, he use to trade blows and straight up BOX on the field. So this is nothing new. And as history shows, it does have a shelf life, when in the players final years when still having ability, and looking for a team. Many GMs and teams wont take a chance, because of the history of luggage. Good thing though he apologized, so its time to move on. But of course, for the next 2 weeks until superbowl it will get replayed endlessly.
