Who will make the playoffs in the AFC?

Post#1 » by bwgood77 » Mon Oct 13, 2014 6:15 pm

Lets assume Denver and New England make it. Who will get the other four spots? I hate that New England has been in the easiest division for years and seems to have a major advantage to nab not only a playoff spot, but home field advantage. I'm not sure they'd be favorites in any other division.

My guess: broncos, pats, ravens, colts, chargers, browns. Maybe the Bengals instead of CLE.

1. Denver
2. Cincinatti
3. New England
4. Indianapolis
5. San Diego
6. Baltimore

Buffalo and Cleveland are sleepers, Cleveland especially with a really easy schedule coming up, but I just can't see the above 6 not making it barring some disastrous injuries.

New England, Cincinnati, Indy, Denver win divisions. San Diego and Baltimore are Wild Cards. That was my preseason picks and I'm sticking with them.

San Diego has already had quite a few disastrous injuries. Luckily Branden Oliver came in as the undrafted rookie 4th string rb and has been better than the other three.

Flowers got injured so he better not miss a game.

They better take care of business against KC this week at home because an injured team going to Denver on a short week for a Thursday night game isn't a terribly good recipe for success.

Well everyone gets injuries it seems like. I still like the way the Chargers are playing. Rivers might win MVP.

Chargers really couldn't afford to lose a home game to KC today. I think their remaining schedule is brutal. How many of these games do you expect them to lose?

@Denver on short week
@Miami
@Baltimore
New England
Denver
@SF
@KC

They will have to win 3 or probably 4 of those and not blow their other games against the Raiders or Rams.

The Bills are playing better when the Browns have their draft pick. Why does this happen?

So who did the best here? It looks like the only one I definitely missed (again, assuming the bolded choices in the votes are your votes) is Cleveland instead of Pitt.

Though I did pick SD to make it, but that may have been more because they are my team, and of course if they win they are in, so I guess I could end up with 5 out of 6 in both conferences.

Not that it was terribly difficult this year.

Not terrible as SD was knocked out in the final week, only playoff team I missed was Pittsburgh. Granted this was a pretty easy year to pick in the AFC South, East, and West.

5/6 though botched the seedings of the top. Pretty damn good.

i like the colts chances against the pats...they need to have somewhat of a decent running attack though to have a chance. i think luck will rise to the occasion again. god i love this kid.
