Can we stop blaming the unballanced roster please. Whoever is watching this game from the start have seen what Kuester did.
The roster isn't great but Kuester makes it look a lot worse than it is. and i mean A LOT.

U kno, I tuned into the game late but statistically Prince looks fine. He was one of the better Pistons tonight and on the season and tahts actually been the case for most of the season.
It doesn't look like anybody had a good game tonight except for Daye

So you don't think that if Pistons had some perimeter defenders or defensive bigman instead of all scorers that they would be better this season?

1st half this is what Prince did. Stuckey pass to Prince. Prince pass to Rip, Rip to Prince, Prince to Rip, 3 seconds on the clock, Prince either shoot a (Please Use More Appropriate Word) deep J or pass to Stuckey.
Prince was absolutely ridiculous tonight. And i am going light on him because of Kuester.

Tonight was terrible.
Too much Rip, even as he was messing things up he stayed in. Gordon never got a chance to be involved. When he and Tay were in, they held others back, particularly Stuckey.
Undersized front court after getting abused terribly by their massive bigs.
When Bynum was in he was getting abused. Not sure what his deal is-maybe not healthy? I cringe when he is in now.
It was a disorganized mess even though some players came ready to compete.

Monroe is really bad tonight, thats partly due to his own inability to finish & the fact that Portland has pretty good D out there. I like to see that Max is out there even thought its garbage time, Id rather he see time in the bigman rotation than CV just for his defense & energy.
That's unfair IMO
CV had a very good first half, but Q waited too long to bring him back in.
He did mess up on defense as normal, but he got a couple of blocks and a steal. He showed alot of effort.
The rotations are really killing us. Rip is being kept on the court too long, and the opposite goes for BG.
Daye isn't getting any minutes at SF, which limits his effectiveness.
Sometimes when the games getting away, we need to go all out. A Stuckey - Gordon - Daye - CV - Monroe line up should be used at those times.

With Kuester? no i don't think. He would still play laughable lineups and **** up the game somehow no matter what human resources he have on his hands.

Don't know if anyone else saw it, but it looked like Stuckey got kicked right in the balls/package area at the end of that game.
Damn Kuester... should have taken him out earlier. Poor Rodney.

What do you mean, (Please Use More Appropriate Word) deep J or pass to Stuckey? The latter never happened, even if he had an awkward shot and was doubled by Stuckey's man.
Rip and Tay STILL do not return the ball to Stuckey. Everything is going through them if they can help it. Stuckey inbounds the ball, and also is the one bringing the ball up just to dump it to them. If he cuts to the basket, Tay and Rip would sooner die than give it to him. Seriously, it has been open a lot but not once this season have I seen it.

This is about this game its about the season.
CV is a piss poor defender, always has been, always will be. Maxiel is not. Max is a better defender. Pistons already have too many offensive oriented players. Losing Jonas really hurts this because Pistons replaced his defensive production with offensive only production in Daye and CV. These guys are redundant, two offensively oriented jumpshooting PFs. There are simply too many redundancies on this roster.
Stuck/Gordon/Daye/CV/Monroe IMo is a train wreck waiting to happen, no defense at all. Pistons need defensive players out there. A team that is primarily offensive oriented will never win anything.
We can talk about crappy rotations all we want, but at the end of the day defense is what wins games and Pistons don't haeve it

our roster isn't balanced, but there's plenty of talent to compete in these games. Kuester isn't helping our players.
The line ups are very questionable.

Yes the latter happened, you haven't watched the game i guess. Tay ball hogged the ball and dropped it to Stuckey with 2 or 3 seconds on the clock and Stuckey had to brick it with 2 guys on his face.

FREE FOOD FOR PORTLAND!!!
This game defines our problems. I'm very glad we got destroyed. Stuckey is playing like last season. He didn't pass at all in this game. Kuesuck needs to get fired. Rip needs to go and is getting too many minutes. Gayshawn needs to be traded.
CV, Wallace, Daye, Gordon, and Monroe did their jobs in this game. I don't expect anymore than what we got from them. None of them get enough touches.

Re: Game 8 - Trail Blazers - Pistons 11.9.10
I was thinking to myself.. why the hell is Stuckey still in the game, and what do you know he got hurt.
Who knows if it's serious, but god I hate Kuester.
Do you know what I also find amazing? Somehow Rip Hamilton still played more minutes than Ben Gordon, only 1 more minute, but with how bad he was playing, that's just absolutely ridiculous.
No one was passing at all, there was almost no ball movement, did Kuester ever think to maybe I don't know talk to the team and address that?

They say he twisted his ankle, but if he did, he must have done it on the way down.
All I saw was him get kicked near the, um, man region.

Re: Game 8 - Trail Blazers - Pistons 11.9.10
I don't like Kuester that much but I think its wrong to place the blame on him when the problem is all about this BS roster
Kuester has two SGs- Rip and Gordon. Both played the same mins tonight, he can't ignore Rip as a coach half his job is to manage egos and well all know that Rip has a a big one. Its not like Rip played all game, he just played half. He was bad out there but what can Kuester do? He has two starting caliber SGs. Neither of them can really excel as long as the other one is there. Whose fault is that?
When the Pistons are getting killed and need some defense what can Kuester do? What defensive lineup can he send out there to right the ship? The Charlie V and Austin Daye tandem PF situation is so atrocious defensively its not funny. But who else can he play? Maxiel and thats it until Jonas returns. Ben Wallace is 36 years old and doesn't have much left in the tank, he cant anchor the defense.
Yeah, Kuester is a questionable coach at best. But he is working with one of the most imbalanced rosters in basketball. Pistons can't compete without defense, unless they have an elite offense and they don't have that. Thats not all on Kuester.

I do not blame Stuckey for not passing. Noted he did have a few drives in the 3rd quarter where he could have passed; however he made some of those and the amount of times was small, so I do not think it was a big factor. Other than that, Stuckey was usually passing it at the beginning of the clock and not being involved much afterward. So he was passing, it was probably the play Q called for him to dump it off like usual. When that and other disasters are happening he is not going to be setting many people up.

It is the fault of Rip and Kuester. Rip because he could play better than he does. Kuester because he does not do anything to keep Rip from making the same mistakes over and over. Rip was particularly atrocious in the 3rd. Why does Kuester do nothing about it? And not just that, why does he continually run plays through Rip? Rip keeps getting the ball and is a terrible decision maker and passer, and he is not creating for himself.
