Gotta love watching the vets lose us games.

Don't mind losing, expect to lose more than we win this season.

BUT I WANT TO DEVELOP THE YOUNG GUYS!!! Daye needs more than 21 minutes, and Monroe needs at least 25 - DEFINITELY NOT DNP-coach's decisions!!! Heck, play Summers and White whenever we get a chance too.....

Daye and Hamilton on the bench when we need a 3 to tie??? That was the best play Q could muster during the TO??? Joke....

Now that its regular season, we're playing Rip, Prince, and Wallace much more than in the preseason - which means Daye doesn't get touches anymore.....most of the shots he got, he had to create for himself tonight.

Again, we need to clean house. Any combination of Rip, CV, Maxiell, and/or BG need to go this season for expirings.

I dont feel so bad about the 03 draft now. Melo or Wade would still be bench players playing 15mpg on the Pistons and neither would have played in 04.

Im watching the game and I taped the Nets broadcast team and in there pre game they said that Monroe wasnt practicing with the team and that he didnt participate in pregame shootaround or warmup.

Monroe is either hurt or hes so far in Ks doghouse that hes not playing.

Even if they played, the other guys would have made sure they didn't get to shoot the ball more than absolutely necessary....ask Jonas and Daye about that.....

The Pistons have no identity or gameplan of any consistency. Until they realize that Ben Gordon is the best player on the team and deserves to start, they will not be winning anything. He is the only player (in his prime) on the roster capable of averaging 20+ ppg night in and night out.

Ok, not sure I'll get any responses here, but what positives could be taken from this game??

Personally I was relatively happy with McGrady. His stats were crap, but he looked ok out there.

It helps if your expectations are low for the season... I'm ok with the vets dominating the minutes to start the season if it helps build their trade value... this season will bite ass... embrace the inevitable :^)

Really? The same BG who got abused by Harris wasn't bad? Basketball game is played on both sides of the court you know and BG was absolutely brutal on defense tonight.

McGrady did good passes and moved the ball nicely but when he tried to finish the plays he was a complete joke.

Maxiell missed a couple of dunks, did a couple of (Please Use More Appropriate Word) fouls, got a goaltending against him, couldn't grab a freaking board on defense.

Ben Wallace got abused on the FT lines and that's how NJN started their run, sending Big Ben to the line on purpose.

Stuckey was passive/frozen out of the offense when the game was at the line. He was giving the ball to Prince and Rip and getting out of their way. While Kuester deserves the majority of the blame for that, Stuckey is not a rookie anymore, he deserves to be blamed for deferring to Rip and Tay like that.

There is one, only one and no more than one positive thing about this game, before the game there was 82 games for this nightmare season to be over and Kuester be gone. After this game only 81.

Vege I think you're overreacting a little there.

GB did a decent job on defense IMO. He's never been a great defender but he was always in front of his man and didn't leave anyone open for the most part.
Harris was feeding of lopez alot. The defensive we had was in the lane, especially with help defense which didn't exist.

McGrady surprised people I think. Nobody thought he could do anything, but he help the team when he was on the floor. So him not finishing well was to be expected, and he played the game accordingly. He was looking to create much more than get his ow points.

You seem to forget Max did some good things too.
He was active on defense and he scored well. I'll take 11pts and 6 rebounds from Max off the bench most days.

The points on Wallace and Stuckey were 80% on Kuester.
When hack a ben starts Wallace should be out straight away.
Stuckey did deffer too much. The Prince Iso wasn't good at the end of the game, but I don't think that was all Stuckey.

Still. Horrible game, no doubt.

The more I think about it, the more furious I get that Rip Hamilton is still on our team and Ben Gordon in his prime is going to waste.

IMO, trade them both to make room for Barnes. This team is in flux. The GM and coach are on different pages, Rip, Tay, and Bynum are playing selfish basketball, and the two guys we just gave $20 million per season combined are both still coming off our bench....time to scrap all the vets and play the youth:

2011 starting 5

Stuckey
Barnes
Daye
Jerebko
Monroe
