Actually, other than the brief stumble that he recovered nicely from, that was good defense.

I saw that. Intriguing to say the least. Wasn't shooting well but found a way around that issue to still make an impact, that's a good sign.

And I heard from Bucks fans that he was driving and kicking for shooters all night. Jason Kidd is getting through to him, slowly and surely. Man, a near triple double though, kid hustled all night.

Alec burks got 4/42. If u don't know who he is, not terribly a surprise as I don't think he started often last year. Him and kcp were comparable last year meaning pope in two yrs should get at min that much on the open market.

Half of this board claimed that Monroe was only worth 12 million a year and Alec Burks just got 11 mill lol.

Monroe will be getting a 4 year max deal and it will take the 5 year max for us to retain him

And now rubio with nearly 14 mil a year.

I'd be shocked to see Monroe get anything less than 4 years/58-60 mil at this point.

I just clicked on this thread to write about what your mentioning,when guys like rubio,burks,parsons are getting these deals,makes you re-think the whole "is moose worth the max"arguement dosent it.

II really hope that it was monroe who turned down anything the pistons thru at him because he wanted to see the direction of the team and hold all the cards in his hands,Iam really hoping it wasant because we low balled his ass.

I admit ,I wasant a fan of giving him the max,but now its not looking so bad considering.

Is it telling that the bucks have ended extension talks with knight ? Or are they hoping he gets low offers so they can re-tain him cheap.Probably taking the wait and see approach with how he does this season under kid,which could back fire ,doubt it,but it could.

And most teams believe that the cap will go up anyways, so any deals now won't look bad at all.

Ed Davis is playing pretty well for the Lakers

He signed a two year deal ($980,000 per year) knowing he would play behind Boozer

In 24 minutes he is putting up 12 pts / 7 rebounds / 1 block on 70% shooting

What a steal at under 1M

I would have paid him 2.5-3M a year to come off the bench instead of Poop

Smith / Ed Davis / Poop --- Drummond / Monroe

No need for any veteran C like Aaron Gray or Joel Anthony
