As a person who loves all types of alcohol it's weird seeing the generalizations made by non wine drinkers.

Some studies on wine consumption and demographics.

http://academyofwinebusiness.com/wp-con ... /olsen.pdf
http://www.ciaprochef.com/FlavorSummit2 ... lespie.pdf

Millennial (16-34) is quickly approaching the Boomer (46-64) age group in wine consumption. There has been a shift from beer to wine in recent years not just in women but also in men.

Despite males' continued allegiance to beer, the percentage of men who say it is their favorite drink has declined significantly, down 11 points since the early 1990s, with roughly equal increases since then in the percentages of men preferring wine and liquor

Also, a shift in non-whites (34% of non-whites) drinking wine up 12% from 1994 to 2013.

It's interesting how many generalizations the older groups are making on the Millennial's for not being interested in the same things they were growing up.

I don't know about drinking just straight wine... But sangrias are good. Just mix wine, raspberries, vodka, more vodka ;). Lol.

generally anything being mixed with vodka is alright in my books

Up 12% in 20 years isn't much especially when the number was so low to begin with. It's still rare.

How is 34% of non-whites rare?? That's about 13% of the U.S. population or 25 million people! And that number is including only the small subset of wine drinkers that Monroe falls in. It's much greater if including the number of white wine drinkers with non-whites. I think you need to stop using the word rare because you obviously don't know what it means.

- So from this thread, I learned that Monroe urinated on himself because drinking a lot can do that apparently.
- That it's somehow strange and weird for a young black male to drink wine with a female friend when he's richer than all of us combined here. Fine dining etc, etc.
- And arguing semantics and so forth

Black men don't drink wine?

Tell that to Kanye West and Big Shaun (Marvin Gaye and Chardonnay) and Waka Flocka Flame (No Hands).

Or you could just go on assuming you are right and everyone else is wrong, your call

Man those songs were the jam back in the day. How did we even get on this topic anyways? Some of you need to lighten up a bit. This offseason has been worst than most around these parts.

Non-whites in no way means 24 year old black men which is what I said.

Lets keep this to relevant discussion, please.

I'm okay with reasonable discussion of topics outside of the primary objective of the forum, but this discussion is not only off topic, but also highly inflamatory and is quickly veering into personal attacks.
