I think I did alright, but my pg's are a little weak if Lin doesnt have a big year under Dantoni.

Might be screwed then, as Lin isn't playing under Dantoni.

Burke/Nelson
Hayward
Durant/Parker
Bosh/Sullinger/Boozer/Teletovic
Pekovic/Ma. Plumlee

I had to rely on the good ole pre-draft rankings. Looks like I have to make a move for a SG.

Another noob question being as this is my first time doing a basketball fantasy team. Do I need to manage my bench/starters so that I have someone playing essentially every night? Or am I good to leave my starters in, aside from games they miss?

I feel like I've seen leagues that limit you to only 82 games played at each position, does that apply?

Any advice, or pointers in regards to this would be appreciated!

Welp, got hit with my first major injury with George Hill out a minimum of 3 weeks into the season.

I had picked him up in the hopes that his useage would benefit from the departure of Stephenson and injury to Paul George. Obviously that's a disappointment.

Just have to hope my other guards can cover up for the loss. Small roster sizes make a short term injury like this a problem, since I've obviously got to keep the guy on my roster during that time.

Oh well.

roto leagues are in that format since your stats are cumulative throughout the year (so you don't constantly pick up guys to maximize games).

in this format you manage it yourself so your guys play as much (or as little) as you want. I did this much to chagrin of my opponents last year but I would sit some guys closer to the end of the week to make it more likely that I win turnovers (while still winning most other categories). you can also sit certain players to conserve percentages.

so there can be more strategy than just 'play as many guys as possible'.

Alright thanks.

Fantasy sports and smart phones seem so co-dependent. Especially with many of the formats out there today. Can't imagine I'd be nearly as interested/dedicated if I could pull out my phone and check a player's status and edit my lineup all at once. Just a crazy thought from my burned out brain this evening.

Another question, can waiver money be used as a sweetener in trades?

250 for the whole season. There's a note on the league page explaining it.

Bring it, Ajax! It all comes down to Hill, Nowitzki, and Adams vs. Bledsoe and Morrow. You'll need 3 more assists and not more than one more turnover than me. How did I sit Mo Williams on his 10 assist night? However it turns out, it's been a well-played week. I'm proud of how my guys have stood up to the giant and no matter what, I'm taking them out for ice cream afterwards.

You were 3 assists and a turnover away from a Tiebreaker win. Both teams played hard.
Whitehops, you're up. Cinderella's here and she's got her a**-kicking slippers on.

Congrats on your win. I looked at your team and thought it was a cakewalk but your strategy of using Curry/Jordan to win 3pt, blocks and FG% and the try to win 1 more cat and then not play anyone to win TO was very smart.

Ajax dominated this season and he deserves so much credit and he wins my admiration. Its just too bad that half your team is hurt. Overall after starting in 12th place I was able to climb back to 4th and then pull an MSU and as a 6th seed come 1 category from being in the Championship.

thanks, it was a good matchup. i only sat anyone on sunday (i think?) because FG% was close and so were TO's. i only played my bigs so i would only improve my FG%, not hurt my 3p% and obviously limit TO's. you have a really good team.

ajax has a great team, but i knew it would 'underachieve' in the playoffs because of his player's schedules. it's hard to rack up stats when your players don't play a lot. injuries obviously didn't help.

also, you quoting my original roster makes me sad that i dropped noel right before he got hot :(
