Oubre and Johnson are obviously some hopefuls for us but we will probably be picking around 10-15 or something.

at what point do we start cheering for this team to lose every game? It can't be too far away

Not yet.. Hopefully SVG can get them playing.. I believe tonight he said he was already worried about their mental state though.. That's not a good sign. Can't see a weak-minded team going forward under Van Gundy. He may try to tear this thing right down now if it can't be fixed with the guys we got.

If we won the lottery and got the first pick - do we take Okafor or Mudiay? The PG might be the need, but Jahlil could be the next special center with a post game already better than Dre's (admittedly that's not saying much).

Or do we use the #1 pick opportunity to dump off Jennings and Smith to a team with #3 or #4 who wants to jump up to get their target and then take the best SF on the board?

You take Mudiay, highest ceiling of the class and best fit between the two, is a no brainer.

Needs: PG, SF, PF.

Mudiay should be option #1?

I want to see some Dinwiddie at PG before saying PG is our 1st need. I have good hopes for this guy.

Oubre/Johnson should be our priorities.

Towns is probably the best fit for Detroit if the plan is to build around Drummond still come the end of the season. Agile seven footer with legit 3 point range to put beside Dre is pretty much perfect.

Towns is a Center, Drummond is a Center.

Towns skillset and phyisique reminds me of Bynum, he is an injury waiting to happen.

Take the best SF available. I really believe if you have a good to great SF, you'll go places.

EDIT: Actually, Okafor looks pretty polished in terms of post moves and those spins. I'm also liking Mudiay too. This is going to be a good draft.

I think we are going to slot into the 5-9 spot. The only teams I'm comfortable will likely be worse than us are the 76ers, Orlando, the Lakers and likely the Jazz.

Just jump into the #2 spot and get Mudiay. Mudiay / Dinwiddie / KCP is a nice solid young backcourt rotation to put with Drummond.

Wait after just 2 bad games you are saying that we will be worse team than last year and you count on having high pick in next draft.

You should always take the BPA in the lottery.

I can't speculate on the players, I haven't seen any of them play yet. Draft Express' rankings will fluctuate tremendously between now and June 2015.

^Well those two losses were against teams that were marked as "winnable" - Anybody doing a game by game W-L projection would have had us at least 1-1, and it's not the losses - we looked bad, already defeated, and players are already starting their drama garbage, Smith with Faried and Jennings going into sulk mode.

I'm inclined to agree.

SVG will need to give this roster a major overhaul over the next couple seasons.
