Our Next 11....

Post#1 » by ElectricMayhem » Thu Dec 1, 2016 4:39 am

We were 5-5 in what was a pretty tough stretch of our schedule. Luckily, our next 11 games are against a lot of struggling teams. Also, we will be integrating Reggie back into the lineup sooner rather than later:

Dec. 2: @ATL WIN
Dec. 4: vs. ORL LOSS
Dec. 6: vs. CHI WIN
Dec. 7: @CHA LOSS
Dec. 9: @MIN
Dec. 11: vs. PHI
Dec. 14: @DAL
Dec. 16: @WAS
Dec. 17: vs. IND
Dec. 19: @CHI
Dec. 21: vs. MEM
At the end of the day, it's not about wins and losses. Teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship make champions of us all.

I picked 17-14. I think we lose @Atlanta, @Charlotte, and 2 of the other 9 games due either to effort, poor shooting night, Reggie integration, or some other factor. I think 18-13 is very achievable, though.

16-15 I'll say given we still have shake the rust off a very high usg player back into the offense. We should really take off after that though.

There really is no way to know. The team without Reggie is finally starting to hit their stride so he could interupt them, but they could also take the hell off.

Based on how they are playing now, they could go 11-0 and I'm serious. Getting back an excellent pg, and our floor general as well as a top closer in the league is no small thing.

Atlanta is going to be an interesting game for sure. The team could just sit back waiting on reggies return and underperform or they could come out and kick atlanta ass. Pope has been incredible as of late and if he continues to play like this? Well, the sky's the limit. This pope is an absolute game changer.

17-14 sounds about right, but if Reggie sucks for a while, it'll be worse.

We must win Wolves, Sixers, Mavs and Magic
We should Chicago (one of them) and Pacers
We might Hornets, Hawks, Grizzlies and Wizards

There are no impossible games.

I think that we will screw one of the must-win and will end with something like 6-5.

The back to backs @ CHA and then at home vs. Indy are the 2 that worry me the most, although 6 road games for a team that has struggled on the road could also be a bit concerning. That said, ever single one of those games are winnable and there isn't a game in that stretch I'd call an auto-lose. A bit optimistic... but I'm gonna say 8-3.

The Charollote matchup is a trap game. Marvin williams makes the world of difference for them defensively and offensively brings more than Kaminsky. They also should have there legs where as last match up they were coming off a 4 games in 5 nights stretch.

This one is incredibly hard to judge due to the Reggie factor... The safe bet is 6-5 over the next 11 but 7-4 is certainly possible if Reggie comes back ready to go out of the gate.

18-13. I know it's going to take some time for Reggie to ease back into things, but we look so good without him right now that I think we'll win a bunch of these games anyway.

I expect Dallas, Memphis, Philly, Washington, Orlando to be wins, and I think we can win 3/6 against the Bulls x2, Hornets x2, Hawks, and Pacers. We have the talent to match up to any of these teams so any of them are potential wins, gotta take advantage of this stretch in the schedule.

Well its the NBA so nothing should be easy. This is a tough stretch? All these games we could win. Idk if we will, but you can't look at any of them games and say loss like if it was San Antonio, Cleveland, Clippers, ect. I don't do the automatic win or loss thing tho because it's the NBA our team isn't good enough to do the automatic win thing to much. That's hopefully is in another 1-2 years.

12 or less wins voter, you want to out yourself? Must be either a visitor from another board or Maker has come back from the dead. Anyway, I think most of us expected one win out of the first two games, but we had it reversed.

Wins and losses are irrelevant

We still have games where we don't play the right way and don't come correct.

Our guys gotta learn that if they expect the best result for themselves then they gotta give their best for each other every day.

Why Not Us? Cause they don't bring it! That's why not us.

They can talk about it, write articles for the player's Tribune, show us work out videos & charity **** all they like.

10 games in a row - bring it every time! Then we'll see what we see.

Until then being around .500 doesn't mean **** to me

I agree that the moment-to-moment play is more important than W/L. Take care of doing the right thing on a possession to possession basis and you will max out your potential and the wins will come.

I'm not even on that "each possession matters" soapbox yet!

I'm talking in general terms of attitude, execution and effort at tip off of the first quarter.

Starting well usually means finishing well but atm I'd settle for a good start every single night.

Games naturally have peaks and valleys where guys get hot, the balls bounce your way or whatever but to start a game well you gotta come correct.

Make good cuts, set good picks, run the floor, box out, get after it on D, move the ball, spread the floor...all the things that good individuals can do to help the team

That's what I wanna see in the first quarter. Set the tone right

all i know is we better win our next four games. the wizards are the only team of the four playing over .300 ball (at .350) and none are on back to backs.

it'd be cool to be 16-12.
