Then Eric Bledsoe comes to Detroit and plays 30-40 games each year of his contract

Would rather have C.J. Mocullum over Eric Bledsoe. Not as injury prone, can hit the outside shot. My dream trade would net us C.J. and Rubio. Still would have to look for a better SF.

Rubio/Smith
C.J. Mocullum/Hilliard/Gibinje
Morris/Tobias
Jon Leuer/Tobias
Andre Drumond/Boban
...

With that we'd lose Reggie, Pope, Stanley... We'd have to draft or waiver wire a sg. Draft a g/f.... maybe pick up a g/f in trade with those three out.

That would be my dream pick up.

Considering the last 2 deadline deals, I'll be disappointed if I wake up Friday and we haven't turned some combo of Boban + Bullock + Baynes into a rotational player lol

according to league sources. While it’s not yet clear if these talks will progress past the discussion phase, sources told ESPN.com that the Pistons have continued to gauge the market for Jackson in advance of the Feb. 23 trade deadline.

Does gauging the market mean considering trading RJ?

Or are we only discussing it?

SVG is a smooth talker

God. I wish we could get Butler or George while keeping Drummond. I think Boston is gonna make a move for one of them.

If Boston misses out on either of them, I think they're gonna take a LONG look at Drum.

Brooklyn pick is the best asset we can realistically get right now IMO

Honestly for that pick I'll give even give them our pick and Drummond. That pick could be key to finally getting a franchise star.

A lot of busts picked at 2. I'm not as confident.

Draft just looks too good in the top 4 where that pick is guaranteed to be. I couldn't see any of Fultz, Ball, Jackson or DSJ being bust honestly.

Woj reporting the Kings are engaging in trade talks for moving Cousins.
SVG make it happen. Drummond + our first for Cousins. I'll wrap Drummond and deliver him to your door Sacramento

Same.

Cousins looks like he cares too much which is far better than not caring like Dre exhibits a lot of times. Deal with the attitude issues and take a chance on Boogie. If it doesn't work out, cool, we enter a full rebuild and unload everyone that doesn't have a post rookie contract.

I just came here to mention this. We have loads of assets, including another young stud center locked up longterm to replace Cousins. SVG NEEDS to make this happen. Drummond/Johnson/2017 1st for Cousins/Tolliver. DO IT SVG!

Jackson/Smith
Caldwell-Pope/Bullock
Harris/Morris
Leuer/Morris
Cousins/Marjanovic

I think Harris should be our SF of the future, which is why I put him in the starting lineup. A healthy Jackson, Harris, and Cousins is a deadly offensive trio.

Ugh. But the insane super max that we'd have to sign him to would be terrifying

If we trade for Cousins we need to find a way to keep Drummond. Having Cousins at the 4 and Drummond at the 5 would bring back Piston basketball and leave that weak-a $s Magic gameplan!!!!!!

But first, getting Bledsoe seems like the most realistic idea!

Return to Detroit Pistons
