Hey guys, I just wanted to introduce myself to the Detroit crew. I'm Rob Elias Villanueva, Charlie V.'s older brother; I'm manage CV and all of his online outlets. I also designed and maintain www.CV31.com, which more updates are currently in progress. I'm new to the forum, so please bare with me if I make any mistakes, lol. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm looking forward to some great years ahead in Detroit. Charlie is truly super excited. He's even shopping for houses near the arena, 15-min distance, Joe Dumars has stated the importance of winning a championship and building a core for the longevity. Charlie has never truly had a personal relationship with a GM and in the short days of knowing Mr. Dumars, I can see why Charlie feels blessed, confident, and motivating to playing Deeeeeetrrrooooit Basssskkkeeeettbaaaaaaaal!!! :)

By the way, I don't know if you've heard, but CV and Chris Bosh have a contest going off on Twitter. The first to 50,000 followers wins. The loser has to do a embarrassing video clip posting on YouTube. This is some funny stuff: (check out the vid)

So please welcome the Villanueva Bros. and support the newly added Detroit Pistons, Charlie Villanueva. Create an account if you don't already have one, and follow him on Twitter:

Thanks again guys. And looking forward to an upcoming successful season.

God bless,
Robert E. Villanueva

PS. We're now adding a charity aspect to the whole 50K twitter contest. CV is a man that understands it's a privileged and your right to give back. Stay tune for more details on twitter (@CV31). Peace.

You should post this on the Toronto board. Given that if Charlie wins, he'll have Bosh do the Beyonce dance - I think a lot of TO fans would like to see that.

No, thanks. He should be in the gym working on his game instead of being a twit.

Actually, it's funny, Villanueva has three brothers, and all of them are named Robert : http://www.courant.com/entertainment/ce ... 986.column

Anyway, whether this is actually his brother posting here or not, even if I wasn't in favor of Charlie coming to Detroit, now he's here, so welcome to the Pistons Charlie, I'll be rooting for you to show me how stupid I was. If you do your best and fight every night, you'll have me (and all of us) behind you, whether we win or lose.

Hey guys, my bad on the avatar... I changed it to something a bit more generic; though I am now officially a Pistons fan, I wouldn't want to get my buddies in Toronto and Milwaukee upset, LOL.

Bu anyways, no need to be skeptical, no reason to lie. You can email me directly if you want: rob@CV31.com --- I constantly welcome constructive feedback. And yes, CV had three older brothers named Rob:

Rob Antonio (38) -- lives in Florida, family man
Rob Elias (32) -- that's me, I manage CV and operate our own internet development company
Rob Carlos (27) -- he works for ESPN, on the morning show called First Take, Rob is a Prod. Asst. there

That covers all the Villanueva Brothers, beside CV of course.

I appreciate the welcoming. Stay connected!

By the way, Charlie just reported on Twitter:

For every new follower added to his listing, for the race to 50K, a pair of shoes will be donated to children in great need, in the Dominican Republic, estimated to donate 3,172 shoes from the start of the announcement. Pretty cool stuff!!!

Charity is key. Spread the word anyway you can.

Hey, in reply to the "big move" question, Charlie doesn't have any particular names that he can publicly announce thus far, but we could confirm that there going after a big guy. It's pretty obvious they lacking in that department; in particular the center position, no disrespect to K.Brown. There aren't a lot of free agents (C) available other than names like: (that I can think of)

Chris Wilcox
Ryan Hollins
Johan Petro
Rasho Nesterovic
Theo Ratliff
Sean Marks

Besides that it's a very thin list. Don't be surprise by a sign & trade to bring in a new big man. One thing for sure, Mr. Dumars is going to work. He knows what he's doing. Considering a tough free agency market and an even tougher economy, Mr. Dumars will make sure to seize the best moves available for the team. You guys don't have nothing to worry about. There's a lot of talent on this team!

PS. Follow Charlie Villanueva on twitter.com/CV, for every new follower shoes will be donated to needy children in the Dominican Republic. Thanks again.
