Maurice Jones-Drew vs Chris Johnson

Simple question which back do you take as your 1st option on your team.

Option A(the overall back) can do every thing you need whether it is to black, catch out of the backfeild, can be used on short yardage situation and even in special teams if need be. The only knock on him is his lack of carries and fumbling has beeen an issue as well.

Option B (the explosive back) was a rookie last year but he was able to produce a great season while sharing carries with another back. He had 40+recptions but he also had his share of drops, he seemed like a good pass blocker but he had the benefit playing behind one of the best pass blocking O-lines

I've seen MJD tear up the league's best defenses. Same with CJ. It's quite the toss up. I'll take Slaton

I'm gonna have to vote Slaton too. I think the write in votes have the win here.

MJD gets my vote.

Both backs had monster games today
Maurice Jones-Drew 8 Rush, 177 yds 2 TDs
Chris Johnson 24 Rush, 228 yds 2 TDs

CJ despite playing on a terrible team has rushed for 800+ yards this season at his current pace he might reach 1800+ yards but it will probably be tough for him to maintain that type of pace. I don't think I can recall a back avg 7 yards a carry this late in the season as Cj is doing.

Slaton gets no love from me until he learns how to hold on to the football.

Nothing against MJD who's a great back but I think Chris Johnson is the better of these 2 backs. He's dynamic and he can do it all. From making ppl miss like it's nothing he's amazing

Chris Johnson isnt a good pass blocker but he runs so well and catches out of the backfield too well for me not to pick him. Every play you have to worry about him getting to the endzone. Against MoJo you have to worry more about him moving the stakes so he is more of a back but ill go with the explosive back.

We need this season to see the result. MJD is clearly a better goalline back, and both are great at receiving, but this season both backs will have more carries, so we'll be able to see it better.
