Had the chance, went elsewhere.

I have a hard time feeling sorry for Jerry, but I believe that he stuck to his board, a real problem for him to do. He gets criticized for making a move, he gets criticized for staying put and going with the top player on the board.

No guard or OL is ever going to be able to pass the expected excitement of Manziel, the most exciting and divisive player since Randy Moss.

I just can't believe they didn't go defense there.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I think it was a solid pick. They invested a lot of money in Romo and need to protect/keep him healthy. It also boosts their qb of the future whenever they draft him, with 3 very solid lineman for the next decade or longer. The importance of having a competent offensive line is way underrated when trying to develop a young qb.

Now if they don't use their next 3 picks on defensive players...

they picked up protection, couple pass rushers, a solid wideout and a hard hitting safety. Not too shabby.
