General Week 5 NCAA Football Chatter

Post#1 » by bleu » Thu Sep 29, 2016 4:31 am

Tons of huge games this week. 6 of the Top 10 teams play each other, I can't even remember when the last time that happened was. The Top 25 is going to look completely different next week I'm sure, even the Thursday and Friday games pack some heat!

I don't think any of those game are going to be particularly close, maybe Wisconsin/Michigan. I'll pick Louisville though because Lamar Jackson.

Revenge game for Houston tonight!

A lot of players out, but they are really looking good.

Toledo is a good win, BYU is like 13 points away from being undefeated this season, it's so frustrating

Or 4 points from being 0-5, just depends on how you look at it... :D

Really though, that was a crazy game. They absolutely needed that one heading to play Michigan State next week, gotta be a big momentum boost. But man, that defense....

inconsistency is going to be the story of BYU's season this year, both sides of the ball will somethings look amazing, and sometimes look terrible. BYU at their absolute best has an amazing offense and defense

Good Lord... can these talking heads on espen be any further up Bobby Petrino's arse?

"LSU should hire Petrino..."

Hell - if a lack of character means that little to LSU, go ahead and hire Art Briles!

I really don't believe that LSU should, and I really don't believe that they will hire Petrinio. Not that I'd put leaving Louisville past him, but I think that LSU is smarter than that. Petrinio brings more problems than he is worth, and Louisville is a perfect fit for him to have success.

You would think the crickets on espen would be acutely aware of all your valid points. And yet after the piece on Miles, there they all were... heaping praise on Petrino.

You're right. He should stay at the 'Ville. With Pitino.

This game is going to break some scoring records. Mark it down. 23-13 with 10 left in the first quarter...

Texas seems to have an issue with tackling. A serious issue.

Nice response by Texas. TD followed by a defensive three-n-out followed by another Texas TD... which is followed by a blocked PAT which is returned by OSU.
