$75 per person money league, 10 teams, 8 make the playoffs. I'm currently sitting in 8th at 3-5 (lost my first five games).
I am being offered Leveon Bell, Rob Gronkowski, and Alex Smith for Matthew Stafford and Andre Ellington. My team as currently constructed:
QB - Stafford
WR - Cruz
WR - Welker
WR - Blackmon
RB - Zac Stacy, CJ Spiller, Darryl Richardson (picked up in case Stacy can't go this week), Lamar Miller, Andre Ellington
TE - Tim Wright (just dropped Bennett b/c of the downgrade at QB in Chicago)
DEF - Oakland
Commish didn't have the foresight to add at least one flex option, otherwise, I think my record wouldn't be so terrible. Spiller was my top pick and he's been a massive bust. I could get one clear cut starter, and then flip a coin for the other running back.
So if I make the trade, I get a downgrade at QB, but I improve my running back situation, and I get an elite tight end. So I take a hit at one spot, but improve two in the process. Thoughts?
Should I accept this trade?

Re: Should I accept this trade?
Smith isn't that bad but can be anywhere from 14-25 points a game because he can rush here and there but his pass game is just as up and down.
L. Bell, he's just as up and down as AE because he's the RB1 on a crap teams both have potential to put up 7 points without a TD or 15 with... But I got more faith in Bell.
Losing Stafford , that's potential 20-30 points a night.
Getting Gronk, #1 red zone target hopefully will come around in a game or 2.. Hamstrings are like rolled ankles in basketball.. Play through it ..
If this is a Ppr league, fire away, after the bye weeks, you have Bell and Stacey. Alex Smith schedule looks easy enough if he trust his receivers or if Charles stop dropping passes. Other than that.. I would do it.

This is a 10 team league, I take it there are better options then Smith on the wire at QB.
So basically it's Gronk and Bell for Ellington and Stafford.
If there are guys like Roethlisberger, Locker, Pryor, etc. on your wire, or even Cutler, do this trade immediately and drop Smith for one of them.
Bell instantly becomes your RB1.
BTW, no offense, but your team is pretty gross for a 10 teamer.

In fact, Smith is solid if this is a 6 point passing TD league as well, but if you make this deal I'd still drop someone for a 2nd QB and play the matchups.

Yep! Hence the reason why I made a trade. I traded TY Hilton for Stacy, but luckily both guys had a strong game so that trade looks like it's going to work out. I'm going to have to look at the draft results again and see where it went wrong, because I have a top 15 QB, two really good receivers. I leaned too much on Miller and Spiller thinking they would carry me, maybe that was the problem.
Anyway, trade went through, picked up Big Ben. This would be lineup after the Pats come back from a bye.
QB - Big Ben
WR - Cruz
WR - Welker
WR - T. Wright
RB - Bell
RB - Stacy
TE - Gronk
Bench: Spiller, Miller, M. Jones, Locker
I'm actually trying to make 1 more move, flip Spiller or Miller and try and get a #3 receiver. I've got 5 weeks to make the playoffs, otherwise I'm screwed.
