It's official Whiz named Max the starter and it will be against the defending champs. To say i'm nervous is an understatement.

Why would you be nervous? This has massacre written all over it. I can't see anyway it goes worse than I expect.

Hopefully if the Cards are getting blown out the Saints don't let up like the Chargers and Falcons did. I want the staff to be forced into making changes.

Good choice to go with Hall. Only concern will be offensive line protection for him. I think if he gets the protection he will make the right passes and not miss open receivers. He'll make rookie mistakes but I can live with that for his first season. Anderson I just can't live with

Hall>DA

Not saying much as of now, but at least we have a more accurate guy and someone who knows how to put some touch on the ball. I just don't know about throwing him against New Orleans. Should be some good experience getting hit 20 times by that defense.

Also, hopefully he can get some chemistry going with Fitz. He'll get all the reps.

Run Beanie/Hightower to death. New Orleans' run D ranks 26th in the NFL. I'll be PISSED if we're putting Max in spread formations all game. There's no reason at all a runner as talented and explosive as Beanie shouldn't be seeing the field in the 1st quarter. I'm cool with Hightower starting (and realize Whisenhunt loves him), he's a good player, but mix it up. Make this offense more dynamic.

Saints are missing Porter their best DB so that could help. I'm worried about Hall's small frame, he can't even be 200 lbs. His arm strength is fine i just worry about the hits. A 300 lb DT would wreck him fast. I'd keep a TE back there to help protect him. We should run it at least 30 times. Reggie Bush (who murdered our D in the playoffs) is also out with a broken leg.

They still have Greer and Gay. They're fine without Porter. I wouldn't consider the injury to be huge especially when Breaston and Doucet are still out.

With Hall, his arm is weak, but he puts good zip and touch on his passes where it really doesn't matter.

Need to run unless we want our O-line to get torn up by Saints blitzers and have Max crippled.

Joe Montana wasn't exactly a hulk himself.

Cards 30 Saints 20. Love how Hall recovered after that INT early. Good sign.

The QB situation was handle very poorly pre-season. They know what Leniart is, they should know what Anderson is, and they are drunk if they thought Hall could step in if something happen to Anderson.

Defense won it but Max was pretty solid after the INT.

In regards to the article, Max is a little different from Warner in that he had 3 years of pretty good college football. Warner was a backup for most of his time in college and shined when he finally got his shot.

As a Cardinals fan, I have to root for Hall. I just wish that we had a better replacement though.

Maybe we have a gem. I can deal with Hall making mistakes because he is an UDFA..Anderson on the otherhand was a vet making rookie mistakes. Hopefully Hall proves to be legit because the coaches and players seem to love his attitude/style of play.

Hall didn't get exposed in my book - he was who I thought he was

If he doesn't come back with a strong performaance next week this team has major problems. I'll make my judgement next week.
