Pittsburgh failed to help us for sure.
I also consider them overrated. What do you expect when the Jets destroyed them.

Any team that's been beaten by the jets I feel we have a pretty good shot at winning

Carolina really helped us yesterday by beating the Saints.
Now, hopefully we come to play tonight, and beat GB as a big dawg.

This is going to be a tough one tonight...maybe Rodgers will have to leave at the half to go shoot another State Farm commercial. Then I like our chances.

I'm not as confident as others tonight.

We had some fight in us during the second half for sure.
It's a shame we couldn't have been a productive during the first half.

Pittsburgh comes in this Sunday.
Pitt is favored by 1.5 points on our home-field.

New Orleans goes to Chicago Monday night. Saints are favored by 3 points.

And with today's loss:

CAR moves into 1st place for the division.

And Mike Smith is officially a Dead Man Walking. Nothing short of an NFC Title Game appearance saves his job at this point.

Big win in New Orleans. My 5-3 2nd half prediction while going 6-0 in the div can come to fruition next week.

Well it looks like the Falcons want to make the playoffs after all! It's win or go home next week, pretty high stakes. I just hope that Mike Smith isn't here next season "just because we made the playoffs" IF we win next week.

Man that defense is looking pretty piss-poor right now.

Dimitroff doesn't deserve a job next year, he tore down that 2012 NFC Championship team to make this.

While I don't want him fired, I do agree this mess is largely his fault.

Letting Tyson Clabo and John Abraham go, while forcing Travis McClure into retirement without clear, capable replacements was a huuuge mistake.

Mike Smith is the same he coach he was two years ago, but his offensive and defensive lines are massively inferior. As is his running back...

Run the ball...stop the run...let Matty Ice do the heavy lifting in the 4th quarter. THAT's how we did it early in the Mike Smith era. But now we can't do the first two at all...leaving Matt Ryan trying to carry us the entire game.

I wish Mike Smith the best of luck. Best Coach in Franchise history deserves a better ending than this. I hate to see him leave, but i understand he needs to be replaced.

2015 baby...another top ten draft pick should help propel us up the charts.

Here's hoping we trade out from #8, pick up extra draft picks and draft Todd Gurley.

It was a merciful end to an awful season. Top 10 pick, and tons of cap space should make for a good offseason. I agree that Mike Smith is the best coach in franchise history, I'll never forget what he did for this franchise, but it's time for both parties to move on.

Ian Rappaport is reporting that Dimitroff is safe. As far as the next head coach is concerned, I'd like to see us get Rex Ryan: dude can make a defense top 10 out of scratch.

Agreed. Keep the offensive co-ordinator so Matt Ryan has consistency. Upgrade the RBs and the O-Line. Let Rex coach up that defense with a bunch of young studs and additions.

Rex Ryan with a top quarterback in the weaker NFC could be beastly.
