The NFL Prop Bets are out.
Shaq Lawson is over or under pick 14.5 (The money is on the under)

If Shaq isn't there at 17, I'd like to trade down and take Noah Spence.

I have a coworker that is very high on Noah Spence.
So high, that he wanted his Cowboys to select him with their first overall pick.

Our Atlanta Falcons have selected Keanu Neal with our first overall pick.

The Jets just slected Darron Lee with the 20th pick.
I must say that I'm very happy that we passed on him. The undersized OLB is just not appealing to me at all.

I would have taken Lee, Shaq, Myles Jack, or Ragland, or i mean to say, I would not be upset with those guys, anybody else i would be upset and im really upset now!

If i had to pick one, and just so i can have a record we can look back on 3 years from now, I would take Lee with Shaq as a very close second

This is such a bad pick!!! Falcons could have easily gotten Keanu in the second round if they liked him so much, they just wasted their first pick!!!

Lets see if Jack, Ragland, Dobb, or Nkemdiche fall to the Falcons in the second round and lets see if the Falcons blow the pick again!

This draft pick is just really bad. It so similar to Peria Jerry and passing up on Clay Matthews. Jerry was also a big reach, going that high in the 1st round, and Clay Matthews was more established and with good combine numbers.

From my understanding; Keanu Neal was never projected to be a first round pick until his stock moved up about 4 weeks ago.

First round if finally over. Jack, Ragland, A'Shawn Robinson, Reed, Spence, Dobb, Ogbah, Chris Jones, are still on the board. Lets see if any one of them falls to Atlanta and we can still salvage this trainwreck from the Keanu pick!

Not fair at all to call any pick a bad pick the night of the draft. It'll take years to evaluate.

I also really wanted Shaq Lawson but reports surfaced that he'll have to have shoulder surgery at some point. I'm sure we didn't want to have two players on the D-Line with major shoulder problems. Miles Jack fell completely out of the first round, and Ragland has an enlarged Aorta that'll require yearly monitoring. Both are gonna be at risk of having a shortened career.

This is a 100% Dan Quinn pick. He wanted a hard hitting strong safety, like he had with Kam Chancellor in Seattle. I wasn't a fan of it either at the time, but my guess is that nobody was looking to trade up, and that they didn't think he'd make it all the way to 50.

Denver traded #31 and #94 for #26. Its not a super great deal, but if the Falcons took it, they still could have walked away with Ragland or Jack with #31 and still pick up an additional 3rd round pick and still pick up a safety like Keanu, Kearse, T.J. Green, or Darian Thompson in the 2nd round. If the Falcons do this, its a win, its an +A

Even if Keanu ends up being a pro bowler in 2 years, its still a failed draft because they could have gotten Keanu in the 2nd round , but even if they are scared that Keanu doesn't tall to the first round, they still could force a trade down to 25-31, still pick up Keanu and get an additional 3rd round pick

This Keanu pick was so bad, it got me upset, the last time i got this upset was the Josh Childress pick and the Marvin Williams pick, and we all know how that turned out.

(I actually picked Brandon Roy over Sheldon Williams, but when Sheldon got picked, I wasn't that upset, but I should have been)

It's easy to say now, with hindsight being 20/20. Dan Quinn obviously really wanted Keanu Neal, that he didn't want to risk him possibly getting taken by 31, in exchange for just a 3rd rounder.

The draft is an unpredictable monster. Quinn and Dimitroff know the nature of it, and really wanted their guy before someone else could have taken him .

Neal was reportedly one of the highest risers in the draft, the past few weeks. I don't think he would've been there close to where we were picking in round 2. This reminds me of the Desmond Trufant situation a few years ago where he was mocked to us at 30, but had been rising right before the draft, so Dimitroff went up to get him at 23.

I do agree that Quinn wanted Neal bad and it was enough for us to select him so high.
We won't know if he'd make it past the first round now but right now I'm unsure about him being our first round pick.
Time will tell.

Keanu Neal to become $10 million man

Falcons first-round pick Keanu Neal’s contract likely will be worth more than $10 million.

Defensive end Arik Armstead was drafted 17th overall by the San Francisco 49ers last year, and he signed a four-year, $9.84 million deal, with a $5.42 million signing bonus. http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/football/neal-to-become-10-million-man/nrD4z/

Buffalo has selected Reggie Ragland.

The Cowboys went with Jaylon Smith. I love this for them even if he sits out the 2016 season.
