The season looks promising for us once again. Let's make it back to the Super Bowl, so we can host it, and get our well deserved ring.

Go Falcons!!!

The first team offense had us up quick vs KC last night but that quickly changed as players from the first team sat.

Things look very promising from that perspective.

Typical preseason results. 0-3 now.
With the final preseason game this Thursday I just hope the no names can make a name for themselves. I will be attending.

I really don't like Steve Sarkissian as our oC.

His play calling is so uneven and uncreative.

Once more, Falcons offense gets lost in the dead, er, red zone

Thursday night was the same kind of ugly, fractious, hard-to-love game as the one that ended the last Falcons season. Eight months ago, they lost 15-10 to these same Eagles on this same field in a divisional playoff, unable to pierce the endzone when it mattered. And almost from that day, they made a sacred vow to improve their efficiency inside the opponent’s 20-yard line. Red zone scoring became the theme of every camp, both mini and real. It became a mantra, almost an obsession.

After all that concentrated effort, we get, this. . .?

Another game-ending incompletion to Julio Jones, only in the opposite corner of the same endzone where Ryan desperately missed him at the close of January’s divisional playoff game.

The reflex will be to raise the same issue that dominated the close of 2017 – Falcons offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian.
An obvious issue to raise, as we review the game’s final four plays, four passes into the endzone out of the same formation. And four incompletions. Doing the same thing over and over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of the Falcons red zone offense.

Week 2 against Carolina feels like a must-win now.

Matt Ryan has tunnel vision. He throws to the first person he looks at and seems to not have control or calm while in the pocket.
This will be a long season if he co tinjes to perform like he did week one.

Bad news:

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's D. Orlando Ledbetter reports Devonta Freeman (knee) is not expected to play Week 2 against the Panthers.
Ledbetter expects rookie Ito Smith to be Tevin Coleman's backup. Freeman hasn't practiced at all this week after injuring his knee in last Thursday night's opener against Philly. It's not believed to be serious, but it's obviously enough to potentially cost him games. Coleman will be an upside RB2 play.

Shorthanded but we pulled out the win.
Much needed.

Tampa Bay shocked Philly, New Orleans beat Cleveland.

I like Coleman more than I do Freeman in the long term. Let's beat the Saints this weekend.

The season has started off poorly. I had high expectations going into the season and now things look very bad.

Tampa Bay is next! Must win game for us.
