Ahhh, I get what you're saying - and agree (and that might be why I wasn't explicitly taught about anti-semitism growing up). Appreciate you taking the time to clarify.

Not going to give you strong on-ball defense in the paint, but I think he'll give you good team defense, good passing, good screen setting and clever scoring around the hoop. Why is he being ignored?

Doesnt have range to 3, and that good team defense.. I dont know about that. He's not stupid, but he's so limited physically. He can't block shots, he can't switch.. he's really built for the international game. Dont think he has enough skills to overcome his lack of quickness

Not the worst idea. Then they could have a ,GP2 and a GR3, and another player whose dad played in the NBA.

Bring back Gen Robinson 3 and set a new record for the most sons of former NBA players in a team.

Curry Klay TJD, GP2 and Gr3 makes 5 sons.
Could play all 5 at once. TJD center, GR3 at PF, Klay as SF, Payton at OG and Curry PG. good small balll unit.

Eugene Omoruyi is somebody who's worth a look. Hustle guy, can hit some threes.

That makes more sense, he has upside that most on the market dont. And the Jazz at least retain early bird rights on him at the end of the 2nd year, if its not a PO (which it very well could be)

Think his next contract will be much larger.. like him on Utah, a team thats very deep without much on the top of the pile (I think we witnesses Lauri's best season, possibly by far). Beyond that its guys like Collins, Sexton, and Kessler on the defensive side. Once Kelly O gets dealt, Yurt will have a season and a half to work with, and I'd bet on him

Wonder if we’ll go after Rudy.

If they do, then I hope they have a Kuminga trade in their back pocket. Kid isnt a fit and all, but he certainly doesnt deserve this, especially after last year when he was backup to a 2-way guy that was credibly accused of something terrible. And as much as I like Garuba, I'd say the same thing. Give Kuminga a final chance, even Wiseman got a 3rd year chance

But I wouldnt be surprised at all if we did sign him. #1, hell of a marketing plan in SF. #2, Gay is a PF/C here and unless the W's are high on Perry from SL, they likely wont be finding a playable big in the 2-way market. And 3rd, if the Warriors wind up with CoJo, Saric and Gay on minimum deals.. it looks kinda good for them as a veteran hangout, which will be important the next couple years. Especially next year, where the team looks to be really trying to get under the 2nd apron

Some team will probably sign Rudy Gay off waivers?

He turns 37 in August. He also played 14mpg last season for 5ppg. Wasn't a great 3point shooting year for Rudy. I havent watched him play in years, but If Dunleavy thinks he can help win the 5th ring then im all for it.

Really he's dario insurance and break in case of emergency. I'd expect him to clear waivers. I'm not sure I would jump at it at the moment as the Thunder are still going to have to cut more players, but I wouldn't hate it.

The Warriors have long been interested in Rudy Gay. He fits the Warriors search profile: experienced bench vets. If he can clear waivers I would not be surprised at all for the Warriors to sign him to the vet minimum.

Gays got the size and measureables of a guy like OPJ and could come in and do the same things. But Gay is getting into that Iggy age, though when you watch tape he moves pretty well for a guy his size and age. Gays shooting was bad last year, and not great the year before.

TJ Warren might be the better, similar size and ability but a bit younger. Warren shot the ball better than Gay had last year. The upside with Warren is the guy hit his career peak, missed a bunch of time due to an injury. Last year Warren came back halfway through the season. Based on the markets demand for him it seems to be consensus that some guys have a big injury and are just never the same. Maybe a minority voice believes it just takes time to get a step back post injury.

Gay seems like he might be more willing to do the little things at this stage of his career and he is s bit longer on defense. Warren always had this kind awkward floater, runner, tweener type game like Jamison had. Not excited or opposed to either or, it's a long season.

Well Steph is only 2 years younger than Gay. So either Gay could still be good in stretches or Steph is going to face a big cliff soon.

IIRC, CP3 had a pretty good year at age 37, I think maybe his first year with the Suns? They were touting dietary changes he made.

Rudy shot 38% on twos and 25% on threes last season....but he is old and so he fits right in with the Warriors' offseason.
