No....I didn't say they were irrlevant...merely different than your statements that every guy who shuttles back and forth puts up those numbers...that's my point so stick to it.

My main point will be repeated again....He's in the league because of his defense, but they are intrigued because he can do much more than they realized....he opened their eyes in Summer League and he's continued to impress them in preseason, the d league, and especially in practice.

You are the one who basically rendered all d league stats as irrelevant...I was merely pointing out to others with some proof that he could actually shoot some.

Shall I throw you a life raft?

Let's just discard another rookie or 2nd year man taking up the 14th or 15th roster spot in his first or 2nd year like we normally do. We basically didn't even need to use a draft pick, how come other teams have "projects" and we're not allowed to? He must be really screwing up our roster. We should just dump him and pick us someone else to not play.

/yawn People keep talking about the tragedy of us dumping Lasme, Hendrix, Randolph, etc. etc., and then ignoring the fact that most of these guys never amount to anything for *any* team. Who exactly are the cautionary tales against giving up on undrafted/2nd round guys? Lin and... ? At the moment there isn't any reason to give up on Bazemore. But if they did have a reason and did so, I'd have trouble losing any sleep over it.

Once again, you've successfully argued a point that no one's made.

You care way too much what other people think. Reality check. No one gives a $&@# what you post on the interwebs.

First of all kiddo...you said that's what every guy who shuttles back and forth does...that's point one and youre wrong.

Second of all I was posting those numbers based on the fact that some said he couldn't shoot from outside...I made that point and I've seen him play more than they had....that's point 2.

And you cherry picked a couple of guys, who by the way none of them averaged the same and grabbed as many rebounds. Also Dentmon doesn't rebound and is only averaging 17 points a game this season, because you used last years stats....which is fine.

The overall point is this....he was brought in because hes an all league defender....But what they have found out is that he is much more than that. So they are keeping him around and Jackson is finding spots for him, because they realize that the kid is more than a shuttle to both leagues. They are in position to take a tax hit over the guy.

So I'll trust what I've seen, and what I'm seeing with the Warriors and the brass over the kid. You go ahead and brush talent under the rug.

By the way I'm not advocating him taking anyones job right now, or even a role other than occasional spot minutes to defend. So don't make it sound like I'm pushing him for the All Star team.

I think Lucky makes some valid points, otherwise we'd see a lot more D-League all stars in the NBA, and we don't, at least not on good teams.

Bazemore has played well in garbage time, I'll grant you that. The guy is a decent player for what he is. But what you are advocating makes no sense. As it is now, Barnes doesn't get enough playing time or touches. And Bazemore will only serve to feed Mark Jackass' desire to go small even more. No thanks.

Also, labeling Bazemore an all-league defender is ridiculous. He has defensive potential, but he's not a good NBA defender at this point, let alone all-league.

No, just made a point that no one's made. Why can't you tell the difference? If no one stated otherwise, then there wasn't any argument. I guess everyone must agree with me then.

He came out of college as an all league defender, not that he'd be all league in the NBA. He made the roster as a defender who can also do other things.

Read my last sentence again about what I'm advocating or should I say not advocating. also made it clear in other posts that I think that for this year he should only be used as Mark Jackson is now....a spot defender and guy who can give a foul.

All league defender coming out of college, like I said.

2011-12:Repeat selection as CAA Defensive Player of the Year...First team All-CAA selection...Career high 37 points vs. Drexel and 28 points at Missouri State...ODU's 20th all-time scorer with 1416 career points...ODU's second all-time steals leader with 250...140 career games played is a new ODU record... 27 points and 12 rebounds at Delaware & Drexel...Two-time CAA Player of the Week...Pre-Season All-CAA and CAA Player of the Year...Pre-Season Collegeinsider.com All-American....Named to HOF Tip-Off All-Tournament squad...Seven steals vs. South Florida...Hit 12 of 14 free throws vs. South Florida...20 points at Richmond...8 rebounds vs. Richmond and VMI...Became the 48th Monarch to reach 1,000 career points (vs. Richmond)...Played 37 minutes vs. Richmond...Hit late baskets at Richmond and JMU to send games into overtime...3-4 from three at JMU...One of four MOnarchs with over 200 career steals....

Will he be an all league defender in the NBA? Who the hell knows? But he does hang his hat on defense and some day if he gets a shot to play big minutes he has a game that reminds me of Spreewell. And please don't run with I'm saying he's the re-incarnation of Spreewell....just similar skill set.

Yeah, you are brilliant. Please throw me a life raft. Go Bazemore. He's #1. Good job in spotting his amazing potential. The team is devoted to this 15th man D-League/5mpg in a blowout swingman without an offensive game. He's got a bright future and so do you as a talent prognosticator.

Lucky...wants surprising is that he turns out to be more than just the defensive specialist....it wouldn't be a big deal but the Warriors so far are more willing to get this kid a role and keeping him around than Tyler right now who they spent 2 mil on just to grab him.

Also they so far are willing to keep him around and take a potential tax hit...that speaks volumes as to how they (the Warriors) feel about him.

I. The long run you could be right and he may get cut and be irrelevant but so far they seem very intrigued....I think he's a find and more than just a defender....if we lose Rush next year, then this kids role may increase.

Anyone else notice that the Clippers rarely dunk against the Warriors? They didn't throw many lobs at all during the series and Griffin didn't have many dunks. Against the Thunder they are dunking it a lot more than I can ever remember against the Warriors.

They got a ridiculous amount of dunks on us in game 3. But that was just to make up for all the other games.

Yeah now that I think about it that's true. I think there's a correlation between dunks and momentum with the Clippers. You stop the dunks and they become less fired up. Just a random observation, but I notice all their highlight plays lead to runs. In the one game Warriors lost they got dunks early and rode the wave.

Or it could be that their runs lead to highlight plays, when defenses get disconbobulated and when they're getting out in transition from their own defense.
