Jamaal Franklin just got waived by the Grizz. I remember his draft I wanted the Dubs to draft him. I think he didn't fit the Grizz because what they need is shooters and that's not Franklin's game. He's a slasher and attacks the rim. We probably won't pick him up but I'm curious as to who will pick him up and see if he can get a shot.

He's also a ball hogger/chucker which is something else we don't need. He;s good for a team who's starving for scoring where he can be the #1 or #2 option on a lottery team.

Now that Blatche is Filipino-American the dubs GOTTA sign him. Imagine Filipino heritage night - it would be off the chain! Jeremy Lin, eat your heart out.

We wouldn't be signing him for offense but his defense ...

Reading today, we probably don't have a shot at Ayon, for the simple reason that we can't offer more than the minimum and he has better offers overseas. Plus, with his play in the World Cup, he certainly has elevated his value, so other NBA teams are likely going to be offering him more than the minimum.

Fine, if we can't get Ayon, let's get Aaron Baynes.

I wouldn't mind Baynes at all...he's a bruiser with skill.

I think the Warriors want to keep a spot open in case, God forbid, someone gets injured. I also think they want Ezeli to get a bunch of minutes. I believe they don't want guys who would take minutes away from him.

They already plan on Lee playing a bunch of small ball five so really between Bogut, Lee, and Ezeli there isn't a ton of minutes. Speights could play there if he had to and Kuzmic in the least can play d, foul, rebound, block shots, and set some screens.

How about Sarunas Jasikevicus and Andris Biedrins while we're at it?

Great post. I'm reminiscing being in HS and watching the Warriors religiously instead of doing homework. Danny Fortson was one of my faves. 6'7-6'8 stumpy forward who couldn't jump, but gobbled up rebounds and scored in the paint.

If Dampier was a free agent and he was the same form he was with the Warriors excluding his breakout season…I'd still sign him in a heartbeat. Dampier would make a great second string Center and a great third string Center today. Shoot i'd take Adonal Foyle as a 3rd string Center in a heartbeat too.
