I see why people would be hesitant...I wonder if you could stretch provision the last year of his contract out. It would be pretty manageable at 7.4 for that last year because his contract de-escalates. If we got him the next 3 years would be 8.2, 7.8, 7.4 mil. I would consider it if we could stretch waive that last year (2.5 on the books for another 3 years).

EDIT: actually never mind. I'd rather convince Speights to start shooting 3's (He won't need much convincing; it's the coaching staff that will). It's too much of an investment. I don't think that we'll be able to trade Lee frankly. Unless we use his contract to match salaries to take on a bigger contract, it isn't going to happen.

I don't think I'd want Frye if we got him for free (maybe a few years ago and when we wanted to draft him). I'd rather have Mo be our stretch 4 backup to Draymond. Let him start shooting more 3s if you want. He can.

Yea...I wish the coaching staff would let him.

Interesting that Speights made two threes a few games ago. He really looks like a great fit on the team and arguably the best player, at least offensively, on the bench. He looks like a keeper for quite a few more years but it's a sure thing that some GMs will offer him about 8 million or so when he's contract is over.

Apparently DMC may be on the trade block. If so, we should go after that HARD. Seems to me like an HB and Lee combo with something else could definitely do the job.

Yeah, I think that "something else" would need to be Klay and our #1's in 2015 and 2019. That's the kind of package it would take to get Cousins - an All-Star and a couple of draft picks.

Not likely $8 mill but possibly over $5 mill. Mo has done well here.. a bit streaky but we're deep and those good streaks can win games. For now/ Total bargain.

Yeah.... you can WISH but in real life... it's..real life. We HAVE Bogut-festus-Mo Buckets. Sac will want to keep Cousins (obviously) and if they can not.. will want TOP BID (which will include major ****. we have not much showcased Lee and Barnes.. so... we do NOT flip them for Cousins. We have Bogut. So.. which big guy is bench?

i'd LIKE to sit in the hot tub (which I ain't got) with some fine supermodel or movie star.. some high end beer.. then take a cruise in the Ferrari (NOT gonna happen..EVER)

Listening to Kings radio and it sure sounds like they are putting feelers out for moving Cousins.

There will be a team that overpays astronomically for Cousins. I can see Boston making a move with their 127000 draft picks.

I'd love to get Cousins but no way i'm breaking up this team to meet what would be a huge asking price.

Maybe we can trade Lee to some team with a worse contract and get a minor asset back. Then maybe some team overpays for Barnes. THen some other team overpays for... eh forget it. We're not gonna get him.

David Lee and Shaun Livingston for Nikola Pekovic, Kevin Martin and Gorgei Dieng.

That was proposed on the radio just then in Minneapolis.

I laughed, hard.

You guys are awesome, Still can't believe we passed on Curry for Flynn... My god.

Wait a t'wolves fan in Minnesota proposed that? or was it a dubs fan in Minnesota? Either way he's delusional

Cousins is very good but wonder how much he'd take away from Curry and Klay, even some of the other players. Sacramento wouldn't trade him to us so easily either. It'd have to be Green and Bogut for him or something extreme like that.
