God no. Green has highlight dunks, every now and then gets hot offensively, but is consistently destroyed on defense. Flat-out one of the worst defenders in the league. Stay away at all costs.

And imagine the three point contest having 3 Warriors lol

Doubt it happens, but I'd welcome it for sure.

Interesting..... because I think if Belinelli comes here, Barbosa is gone. (He might be gone anyway.)

I'd assume the agent would steer Belinelli to the largest salary (probably Charlotte) in order to maximize his commission.... particularly if he gets a second commission in a deal with Barbosa in Golden State.....

I can see it happening actually. He did it already in the past.
If he wanted the money he would be back in Europe since a long time ago.
He wants to win and he really loves the game.
I hope we can bring him back, it would be awesome.

Believe me, I hope you're right. I just am doubtful that it works out that way.

Green can create offense, and when you roll him out there with Iguodala and Livingston his defense won't matter. You put those two on the wings and stick Green on whatever corner 3 scrub is out there.

Busty is a one trick pony. We have enough shooters.

Gerald Green on offense is a less consistent guard version of Mo Speights. And he's worse on defense. I'd rather get Sly if we can.

He hit like seven 3-pointers in the McDonalds All-Star game... he's the next Tracey McGrady.

Define "create" for me..... because Green's career assist rate is 1.9 assist/36 minutes, which is right up there with Harrison Barnes' ability to create (1.8 assist/36 minutes). And it's very well-documented that Barnes is completely unable to create (at least for others).

Now, if you mean "Green can hog the ball and heave up a lot of bad shots in a short period of time"...... well yeah, that I can agree with.

He means he can create his own shot.
That kind of player is ok off the bench. Kerr has shown he knows when to unleash a player and when to bench him if he's not in a good day.
Barbosa is not very different actually. Do you remember the "Barbosa should not see another minute in the finals" thread? Sometimes he's good, sometimes he's bad.

Would love to have jellybelly back in GS. Was a big fan of his when he was here, but back then we needed core guys not strong role players.

I would be trying to pick all the ex spurs who can still play for the Kerr system. The warrior offense I still in its infancy

I'm more interested in finding guys who can hit the good shots that Iguodala and Livingston create for their teammates, than somebody who can create and miss their own bad shots.....

The only one who's named Green that I want on my team is named Draymond.
Draymond Green: Exemplifies Warrior Leadership, Hustle, Desire, Versatility, Toughness, fearlessness, Grit, Heart,Team Spirit, Sacrifice

the good thing about Bellinelli is that he can play pg in a pinch. But we would never need that from him with Livingston and Iguodala on the second unit. But Belli is a good passer and knock down three point shooter.

So now you'd have all this passing ability with Livingston, Iguodala, Belli ......And Belli would be the one benefiting from the movement and passing. Plus he's six five, which would be the smallest guy off the bench in the mix.

Really hope it happens, it's a great fit.

Can shoot the three
Can drive to the hoop for a layup
Willing defender
Is a system fit
Commands small contract

Beli makes a lot of sense... some people ripped Beli as a draft pick but he has produced more than most of the Warriors picks of that era. I always thought he had a great stroke but just needed to shoot it the same way each time, not vary the point of release. Spurs have a good shooting coach...

Hell yeah, bring back Belliii. They wanted Ray Allen, why not someone with outside touch. Still say the biggest need will be a post-scorer (if Lee is traded). Lee's offensive contribution to balance was undeniable in the playoffs. He helped them get the ring.

It's great that warriors are still in the mix for free agent talent Bellinelli and West.

Dominoes just need to fall in line.
David Lee trade helps us go under luxury
then we can use exemptions sign West mini mle Belle Nellie BE both 2 yrs.

Then we sign Looney and Green.

then sign draymond

Wait really? Lee didnt get a single minute until the Finals, and he only got PT bc Dray was playing terribly. Once Dray got back to being who he was, Lee was benched again.

Return to Golden State Warriors
