Do You Miss Lee

Post#1 » by PizzaSteve » Thu Nov 19, 2015 5:54 pm

Arguably a big influence in creating the positive culture of the warriors and turning around the organization. I would have thought to have heard his name mentioned a bit more often.

Question: Do you miss Lee?
Follow-up: Do you see him ever having a role on the Warriors again? Player, coach, team cookie chef?

He's on an expiring in Boston right now. I wouldn't mind him taking Speights supposed role next yr since he would come really cheap.

I don't miss Lee, however I fear we do miss a guy that can finish around the basket easily in close games down the stretch, and can also hit FTs as a big.

I was watching the Boston v Pacers game the other day and watched him get stripped on 2 straight possessions in the lane which made me chuckle. He could never figure out how to protect the ball in the paint when going up for a shot.

My blood pressure has been a lot lower without DLee on the court.

The only time I can see him back with GSW as the 15th man is... so GSW can sell David Lee GSW jersey to another Chinese of the same name.

It would be nice to have him instead of Speights, but it's hard to miss anything when you are just about 13-0.

Lee was a big move for the franchise at the time and was a good teammate at the end. I see Lee being bought out if he is not part of s big deal and coming back for another championship run.

Was just reading an article, "Top 10 moments: How Warriors-Clippers became NBA's best rivalry", and saw this:

You would have thought they won the NBA Finals," Paul would later say. During the game, David Lee also got tangled with Griffin under the basket and the two had to be separated, leading Lee to scream at Griffin, "Stop flopping!" It wouldn't be the last time a Warriors player yelled that at Griffin.

So for that reason alone, yes, I miss David Lee.

Sometimes. I miss seeing him on the bench.

Wait, seriously. Lee or Speights?

Not really. Current Lee is a shell of what he once was, with his FT% plummeting and his jumper disappearing. Combined that with his help D (his man to man D is actually OK), and his tenacity to get swatted inside, there's no need for him.

Although, I'll always remember his game 3 performance though, it might not have been legendary on the stats sheet but the way he played helped get the Warriors out of their 3 game funk. Great end for a great guy.

I don't miss Lee and glad we have moved on.

I respect what he brought to us, he was a fringe all star in his prime, who wanted to be a Golden State Warrior, before it was cool.

He did pay for Vegas. Apparently he dated the room mate of my wife's acquaintance in college and hung out at their door room and was super nice. So chipotle may be doable.

Lee would cost Lacob way too much in lux tax to bring back and there isn't a reason. Speights will pull his head out and contribute eventually.

Lee was the perfect match-up in the playoffs and finals. We don't win without him. He'd be an upgrade on spadez.
