Who would be a nice Walton replacement?
Who would make a nice Assistant Coach next to Steve Kerr next season? Does Collins move up? Do we go after someone new?

I think Collins moves into Walton's role. Kerr likes to promote from within, the Warriors place a big value on team chemistry, and Collins is already a part of the Dubs "family".

Yeah, Blatt seems reasonable. Interesting that our offensive rating actually went up after "offensive guru" Alvin Gentry left.

I'd love to see Blatt add some sets to our offense. I think the primary reason our ORTG grew (at the expense of our DRTG) was because of the chemistry and familiarity of the players within Kerr's ball/man movement offense, as well as Steph's greatest individual offensive season in league history.
Without Steph and Dray playing well, we've struggled mightily at times to score. Whether it be over-reliance on hero ball from Klay or inability of the bench to score and keep a 4th quarter lead.
If Blatt can cement our offense further, that'd be terrific.

I admit I scoffed at Kerr's choice of Luke when Gentry left.
I like Blatt.
But I will trust Kerr.

This. Especially when I found out Kerr was going to miss regular season games I was like Luke Walton??
I was wrong. I can admit this.
having said that... I am not going to learn from my mistakes and I would again "scoff" if Jarron Collins was the guy. Maybe I'm

I'm down for Blatt.
One thing I want to see is a lifetime contract offered to Ron Adams. I seriously want him in the organization until he decides he's had enough and wants to retire. The guy is key.
Like to see more of Steve Nash.

Re: Who would be a nice Walton replacement?
I think Blatt is the most interesting option for sure, because of his friendship with Kerr and because he supposed to be his lead assistant before he went to CLE, but the question is , what are the chances he would still want this job? I think he'd want recognition for his coaching especially after some people relate his success in CLE to LeBron (unfairly). And GSW already succeed without him.

It would be benefcial for both him and kerr to team up, they'll have a lot to learn from each other.David can learn more about the culture from nba, and he can share his experience from euroleague. He had implemented some beautiful offensive systems with his teams in europe.

Re: Who would be a nice Walton replacement?
Interesting view on Blatt improving our offense.
I don't think he integrated Love and Irving well with LeBron offensively. Also when without Love and Irving, they just played LeBron hero ball.
Can he really improve our offense especially Steph-less offense?
I want Blatt too, but not for the reasons other cited.
I want Blatt because of his experience and insights. He can be someone to step up if Kerr's health needs time. I would like to give him an open offer if he wants to work as an associate HC for 1-2 seasons before trying HC again.
Other than Blatt, I don't think Kerr needs another associate HC. Especially if he picks Collins. It is quite weird to have Collins with a bigger title than Ron Adams.

I would throw the Cleveland experience out the window. The LeBron affect, along with the ego of Kyrie may have derailed much of what Blatt wanted to implement.
With our team you would have open ears. He would be able to coach here with willing participants.

Agreed with the comments about Blatt. I don't think the Cleveland experience was representative of what he can do with an offense.... I think he'd be fantastic here with our flexible players who want to learn and improve - I don't think the egos in Cleveland were a good match for him.
